Dollar General — Local services in Kasson

The sign on the door indicated "masks required" yet the employees did not have on masks. I watched as the employees had pleasant conversations with people they knew entering the store, all the while unmasked. I understand that some people do not want to wear masks, but for those who do, they should not have to worry about receiving service from those who do not obey their own store guidelines. The man behind the counter stopped his personal social time to be cordial to my husband as he approached the counter. The female continued her social time and didn't seem interested in customers who weren't her friends. I was unable to find what I was looking for and did not have assistance to figure out if the store carried it due to lack of customer service. I will not return to this...

Always changing! Every couple days the shelves have different and new things out. Clean store. Stocked shelves. The evening staff (closing staff) is amazing!!! They are friendly, positive, outgoing and never act as if a customer is a burden. Haven't gone shopping in the morning/early afternoon for a while because that staff has a history of being rude, condescending, impatient and inappropriate (talking bad about customers after they leave and other employees who aren't there, saying things under their breath about us or others as we come to the register.) Shelves are stocked to about 70%. Prices are high. "Inflation is here" was the cashiers reply to windshield washer fluid being over 5 dollars. Virtually nothing in the store is under a dollar. I know prices are high but double the price?! Nice...
