Welsh Equipment — Local services in Kasson

I am in the process of purchasing a truck from Welsh Equipment. It’s an older mixer truck and I’ve been impressed with the professionalism and the buying experience so far. It’s been delightful to work with Rick, Jacob and Luke. All three are great guys and would definitely do business with them again if it continues as it has to this point.

UPDATE: Very disappointed in Rick. My wife and I took him for a man of his word.

He made a personal guarantee on the truck and did not keep his word. Ended up rebuilding the engine right after taking delivery of the truck in Colorado Springs. (Cracked head. Local Peterbilt dealership said head had been cracked for some time.)Cost almost $28,000 and weeks without work.

Sent a detailed email to the owner of the company with no response after several reminders and after Rick brushed us off and did not except any responsibility nor did he acknowledge the guarantee that he made to my wife and I.

Will not be doing business with this...

We just bought 3 trucks directly from Rick. Our experience was quite negative. Similar to many others, once Rick gets your deposit he forgets about his obligations to provide trucks, he uses sleezy sales tactics which are somewhat hilarious if you deal with salesmen, however he is a sleezy salesman and do not trust what he says. It took 4 weeks longer than he stated for the trucks to be ready. Then, the trucks arrive in Canada and Rick and his team failed to complete the Recall work required, and they can not formally be imported unless returned to the US for Recall work. When questioned Rick on the issues, he states he tried his best but its not his problem. They have trucks, but do not trust a single word Rick says, he can not be trusted. In the last 3 years I purchased 4 mixers from Rick. The 1st is a good truck. The 2nd was good until I see the frame was cracked but patched. The 3rd and 4th are nothing but a nightmare, I paid more than most competitors were selling theses trucks for. Almost 18 months in I can only use one because it’s constantly breaking down and the one I use I need to keep local because that tends to have issues once a week. I’ve reached out to Rick many times but he seeems to not care. Now I do understand he is busy and older but I’m stuck with bad mixer trucks. I wouldn’t recommend...
