Avoid having your deer processed here at all costs!! I gave them a second chance after a bad first experience with horrible cuts, poor trimming and some spoilage from what appeared to be meat left out before freezing. The second deer processed here was worse than the first one. More than 1/2 the meat was brown and spoiled with glands still in it and almost no trimming was done.The so called steaks were what looked like scraps to be ground into burger. My backstraps were thinner than the tenderloins on a 147lb hanging weight deer. Only got 52 lbs of meat back on a 147lb carcass with a broadside lung shot and almost no damage to the meat. Charged $184 nothing vacuum sealed and all of the meat wrapped in one layer of freezer paper that was blood soaked then wrapped with one layer of plastic wrap. I’ve had my 12 and 15 year old process deer for me with almost no instruction and they seriously did a much better job than this place. The only decent thing I can say is the owner was friendly and they are nice and the hickory stick (summer sausage) is good. I love around the corner, but if we need anything special because we go ofter RON the owner, will order my husband extra of his his favorite ice cream. They are known for their meat markt. They give great advice for what kind of seasonings to which type of steak you are looking for. Also, they sell hay and alfalfa,and even food for your chickens ir deer. They're right on m-13 for either your way up north or down south to connect with I-75. Chips, pop, and stuff to make stores the list goes on. It's your perfect stop to grab the last min. Even the meat sticks had to be thrown away, the casing was horribly thick and tough, never was like that before. The burger from different deer, different years tasted horrible, as though it was horribly spoiled. We knew it was not that way went we dropped it off, the burger even had a horrible odor....
