Strand Theatre — Local services in Kendallville

So I saw a movie with my little girl just this past weekend. We got there early and were the first to be seating. At one point I had sworn to see and apparition of a man but didn't think of it and focus on the beauty of the theatre while readying myself for the movie. Later that afternoon I spoke to my fiance and her mother about the movie (them being locally from here and me just transitioning here from NC) and nonchalantly mentioned the apparition. To my complete shock and surprise they mentioned that there was rumor about a man being seen and thought to be the previous owner still there and that this place had actually been investigated for paranormal activity. I for one ABSOLUTELY 💯 feel as if it is. I'm excited to know that he felt relaxed enough to show himself to me and Grant me such an amazing experience. I hope to visit soon again and often. We love the strand. They only show 2 movies and never in 3d however it's our fav movie theatre. Ticket prices are cheap, concessions are reasonably priced. They offer popcorn, candy, water and soft drinks. The staff are usually high school kids. The staff is always very nice. The have clean restrooms (2 stalls)n a few waiting chairs by the bathrooms. The theatre has air conditioning, handicap spots in each theatre and a balcony for when all lower seats are filled. They also have booster seats for small children. The theatre is always clean. They open doors 30 mins before Showtime. For a small theater it can become very packed. Weekday showings are around 7pm with a matinee at 2pm on sat. N sun. I highly...

Was checking my phone regularly during the movie as we had a death in the family. The brightness was down on my phone and we were in the very back row with no one in front of us, and I was rudely told my phone was a distraction, and when I asked to have the lights that were brighter than my phone turned off or down I was told that they weren't a distraction🤷 I will not be attending any more shows at this terrible place! And the lights I'm speaking of are the ones on the ceiling not on the sides of the isles 🤦 with no one else around my son and I and no one complaining I'm not really sure how I was a distraction but whatever makes you feel better about making a big deal...
