Local Pumpkin — Local services in Kennewick

When I moved to Tri-Cities 7 years ago, despite being surrounded by a cornucopia of agriculture, I found it challenging to consistently buy local organically grown produce. Grocery stores offered little, there were no CSAs and it was hard to make it to the farmers markets. I was thrilled when I stumbled across Local Pumpkin; it seemed too good to be true: in-season, locally sourced produce AND delivered to my doorstep for fair prices? I had never heard of anything like it, but it's proved to be everything promised and more. Over the years, they have only grown and added on, now incorporating not only local and Washington-grown produce, but other minimally processed and minimal ingredient items too, such as fresh bakery goods, soap, candles, meat, raw milk, eggs, honey, cheese, butter, granola, ferments, soup mixes, pasta, gourmet mushrooms, sprouts/microgreens, seasonal treats and SO much more. It truly is like shopping at a co-op--I do nearly all of my fresh food purchasing from them. So this place, it's service and even better the people whom run it are SO great that I haven't even made an order yet but needed to write a review. I just spoke with Desiree and she met perfectly my enthusiasm and gratitude for a place, a place for which I've been looking since moving here, exists to support Local Regenerative Farms! This is a dream, truly, as I've been on a path to eliminate as many neurotoxins in the form of plastics, seed oils, pesticide contamination, food coloring etc... that clean organic grass fed & finished meat is a gift.

Absolutely loving Local Pumpkin produce delivery. The seasonal (mostly) organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, breads, and everything else has been wonderful. We are eating so many more fruits and veggies since we subscribed to this service, and I've tried so many new recipes to incorporate the veggies we have gotten. As a foodie, I love all the artisan goods options as well: fantastic sauerkrauts, turnip pickles (which are a favorite and so hard to find), local eggs & milk, cheeses from Walla Walla Cheese Company, pastries & bread from local bakeries, handmade pasta/sauces from Pasco, and handmade vegan soaps from Kennewick. They have a tiered selection of box sizes to choose from, as well as options for different delivery choices (bi-weekly, weekly, monthly, ect) so it works for a variety of budgets.
