Extra Space Storage — Local services in Kent

This place has undoubtedly been the best storage experience I’ve had. This review is long overdue but in particular this one is directed towards two managers that undeniably go the extra extra mile at their jobs. Brande stays well over a full days worth of hours at the end of each week on the grind to get everything done I’m pretty sure on her own time too. The aesthetics of this location as a whole just keep appearing better and better each visit. I’ve been impressed with with both Angelina and Brande as the years pass and I’m still renting ExtraSpace ☺️. But importantly the second individual this review has focus around is by far Jeanine I believe she’s the regional or assistant regional manager. Taking on roles I couldn’t even fathom, rolling with the punches and knocking out tasks like it’s cake. She’s another one that I feel goes those extra miles there at ExtraSpace. I know that because I learned she’s the manager at the Warren location, but is always THE one to turn to with the more Complex questions or scenarios and she has always somehow managed a better answer than I could’ve ever imagined. I’m confident when I say it, Jeanine is definitely the glue that keeps the ExtraSpace standard together like a well oiled machine.

This last year I got to meet all the managers I believe as they were subbing out each day all pulling together as a team to pull through a tough time before finding Brande. Amy Jason Andrew Shawna all have played pivotal roles these last 6 months or more. Angelina and Ray being the originals this place really has always had such a family dynamic, it’s refreshing to say the least.

Thank you guys seriously from the bottom of my heart. These last 3 years I would’ve literally crumbled like a cardboard box in the rain. Your patience with me as a renter should own its own short story, could probably be shown at anger management meetings as a true example of a grounded patient staff member, hit with some complex who knows what everything scenario I end up in. It really means the world to me, as I tear up two thumbing these memories into words on a screen. I wish I could control the things that in the moment I spin out of control, I wish I could control them differently. I’ve gone through 3 traumatic brain injuries totaling at 9 skull fractures, needless to say.. I’m somethin I tell ya. Wish I could put it to words but man I can’t even stand myself most days I can’t believe these gold star individuals put up with me without batting a lash. And truly shaping me as a whole throughout this entire experience. Wish I could convey the true depth of how much of a safety line this ExtraSpace staff and their establishment has been for me. I just want to say THANK YOU ALL again so much for playing such a big role in my organization skills. And all around always having an answer that really does bring you comfort each and every time. My experience with this storage company has been nothing short of wonderful. I've been met with such kindness and patience through the entire process and I couldn't be happier about it - even when I had messed up on my end, the workers I spoke to were so willing to work with me to get it resolved.

I had gotten into contact with a delightful woman on Tuesday evening about renting a unit by the next day. It was my first experience renting any kind of storage unit, and I was definitely nervous about it. She walked me through the process with such genuine ease, I was so unbelievably reassured the entire time I wish I'd gotten her name.

When I arrived on Wednesday I became very suddenly aware that I had most definitely given this worker the wrong size for a unit - my supplies wouldn't have fit in the one I had already rented.

I was pretty panicked about it, because the U-haul I had rented needed to be returned that day exactly, and I only had a certain amount of time to pack my supplies up, so I'd called the service number to see if there was anything I could do to get it resolved.

I got connected with a delightful man named Nicholas. He greeted me with such kindness and calmness despite my - definitely - frazzled state, and together he helped me switch units to something larger. I called Wednesday to check on availability of a 10 x 20something storage unit. They had one left and I said I wanted it. The person I spoke to said ok, asked for my name and information. I gave him all the details and said I would be in Friday. Cody, that's his name said no problem I will hold it. So, my husband and I packed our truck and my suv with boxes and headed over today, Friday to finish the paperwork and unload the first bunch of boxes. The person working the counter, and I did not get his name, kept saying, I hear what you are saying but we have given that unit to another person. What??!!! So I told him again, no we reserved it with Cody. Again, I hear what you are saying but we no longer have that unit available. He offered a larger unit, at a larger price. I said, I'll take that unit at the $82 price I was going to pay for my reserved unit. I hear what you are saying but I can't do that. Not even an offer to call the manager and see if he could do it. So, my advice, just skip the drama of thinking you will have a place and go directly to calling any other place but this one. No customer service at all.
