KenMont and KenWood Camp — Local services in Kent

As a parent of three daughters, I can honestly say that Kenwood has been a gift to each of them in their own unique way. This past summer marked our sixth year with Kenwood, and it somehow managed to top the first. Watching all three of my girls come home glowing—with new confidence, deep friendships, and nonstop stories—made it clear that this camp is something truly special.

What I love most as a parent is how Kenwood meets kids where they are, helping them grow in ways that feel natural, joyful, and empowering. The staff is exceptional—caring, professional, and clearly passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space for every camper. The communication with parents is thoughtful and consistent, which gave us peace of mind while our girls were off having the time of their lives.

I am also a staff member at Kenwood. Staff and campers alike are encouraged to be their best selves, take healthy risks, and support one another. It is a place where everyone—from the youngest camper to the most senior staff—feels like they belong.

We are so grateful to have found Kenwood. It’s not just a camp—it’s a community that’s helping shape our daughters into strong, kind, and confident young women. Even though our oldest girls can no longer be campers due to their age, we can’t wait to build more memories at camp as...

My experiences over a span of six years at KenMont and KenWood Camps have been amazing. Whether it is the history of the camp, the beautiful facilities, or the awesome staff and campers, this camp is truly exceptional. I am a teacher, and although a summer break sounds great, a summer at this camp is even better, as the fun is unending and the experience is priceless.

Furthermore, the camp is run by talented and excellent directors. They make sure the camp is in great shape, and most importantly, they put the kids first and make sure the kids are always happy. This is why the campers keep coming back year after year. This is also one of many reasons why I am returning this summer for the seventh time!
