Kenyon Market — Local services in Kenyon

Small town grocery store...not much of an eclectic selection, but I suppose you just have to deal with what you are given. This review is really more on behalf of the young kids that work there. I find it odd that this little store seems to think that it is okay to pay their employees less than minimum wage, per Minnesota law. It is really sad to see the youth of America being used in this way. For most of these kids, this is their first jobs and they don't know any better. We teach our kids to see the good in everybody and everything, but then this happens and they quickly develop a distaste for corporate America. I hope that these kids realize that they are worth at least, minimum wage, if not more. Hopefully the right people will read this very informative review and Kenyon Market will make the corrections that need to be made for their employees sakes. Otherwise, I guess we'll be seeing...

Good little store. I might add the employees are very hard-working but they need to know how to replace the bad looking produce. It's a bit pricey but you can expect that because this town is so small. They have all the basic stuff you need and a few odd ball selections. I do appreciate they do have one here and wished they could stay open till at least ten because even though I usually shop near my employment in Farmington I wish I could just stop by and pick what I need when I pull into...
