I have been ordering James Avery for many years now and was always pleased with the craftsman ship and customer service and the fact that they like to claim that if its in stock it usually ships within 24 hours, that is until my last couple of orders. I order the tiny turquoise ring wore it maybe 5 times and the stone has fallen out, I contacted James Avery and was told they will send out a mailer so I can send the ring back so they can decide IF they will take care of it....ok as I have no choice we will try it this way well it's been 13 days and FiNALLY the mailer is on its way. 13 days to mail an envelope??? Did you have to print it?? I also placed an order on 10/10 after not ordering for awhile because I was disappointed with shipping time on my last order and when I had a question about my order customer service was not helpful and I ended up with a ring no one really likes, the ring I ordered is in stock so I figured sweet it will be in the mail by Wednesday 10/12 ya know with their promise to ship it out within 24 hours... Haha nope finally on 10/14 I get the awaited email it's been shipped and will be here on Tuesday 10/16.....nope wrong again when I check this morning to see where it is nope sorry no explanation but it's not going to be delivered until 10/21. So, after 11 days my in stock, should be shipped in 24 hours ring will finally arrive, about a week to late for tHe occasion it was bought for. Thanks for helping me make my nieces day a special one James Avery......NOT because the gift is too late and was replaced with a absolutely beautiful ring. Needless to say I don't think I'll be shopping on line anymore at James Avery, maybe if their online customers were as important and got the same top notch customer service I've heard you receive in the stores and when you say it ships in 24 hours SHIP...
Read moreHello…I had some reservations posting this negative review do to the great customer satisfaction I’ve felt over the years from James Avery. Been a loyal customer, especially during b-days and Christmas, and have nothing but great experiences, until now. In short, I had a leather bracelet with a silver cross for about 3 years or so before it started to show, understandably so, signs of wear and tear in the leather loop attachment. I took it to James Avery and they were able to replace the leather for a cost. No problem, it’s a beautiful leather and I wanted it new again. Once paying their cost and getting it back, I started using it. However, after only 4 months, this leather started to show extreme wear, to the point of almost tearing its loop. I stop using it for fear that it would snap, and I would lose it.
I wore it the same as before, so I thought it was a defective band. I took it back to James Avery to replace for free, but they again wanted to charge me for a brand new one. I explained the issue and difference in quality and life span from original one. Their answer was to pay again to replace it.
I refused to pay a second time for fear I would happen again. I feel disappointed in their lack of comprehension and unwillingness to back the quality of their leather products. I will still buy their jewelry, just not anything with leather : )
With the hope this review helps others and bring awareness to James Avery….I thank you for allowing me to share my...
Read moreAfter dissenting opinions from the GPS on my phone and the one in the car, we found the sprawling James Avery "ranch" on its own road (Avery Rd.). The main store and parking lot is very well marked so you will have no problem finding it. The limestone building looks immaculate from the outside with the James Avery name in prominence at the entryway.
The store is brilliant inside not only from the lighting, but the sparkling jewelry displays and the crisp interior ambiance. A wing of the store is a craftsman museum of sorts with displays of the tools and machinery used to make jewelry.
We were there to have a piece of old JA jewelry updated with new clasp and the chain lengthened. The manager was able to come up with a solution that saved us money yet still maintained the goods looks of the piece. Nicely...
