Today I did not have the time to drive to Lancaster for groceries, so I dropped into IGA. I really have a difficult time finding one good thing to say about this store. The prices are astronomical. The selection is minimal. The produce is horrible. The meat is even worse.
Today I picked up a 12 pack of Ramen type noodles. The sign on the shelf stated they were 2 for $4. They rang up at 5.49. the cashier went back to look twice. She then called the store manager. He is disheveled and rough looking. He took his time coming to her register. She told him the product was ringing up wrong. He said "oh really?" And began to walk away, stopped, came back and said that price is for the cups. I said that they are signed 2 for $4. He rudely quipped "c'mon, you need to show me". He is extremely rude and unprofessional, which I guess answers why most of the staff is the same. He needs to understand that Lancaster is only 11 miles away. I'm kicking myself right now for not just leaving everything and walking out. $35, and would have cost about $20 at food Lion. I can't imagine how this awful place even stays...
Read moreWent there Tuesday to buy boxes of chicken. Girl at service office came to me and I asked where was the chicken that was on sale. She goes and gets the ad and tells me to show it to her. I did. Then we walk back to the meat case and she says, " we must be out." She does not even take the time to go in the back and see if they have any more. So I asked for a "Rain Check", she says " We don't give Rain Checks." Everywhere else I have EVER been gives Rain Checks. If they do not have the product in stock. I have always shopped at the Kershaw IGA. I will however drive the extra 7 miles to Pageland for any major grocery buying. That is what Pisspoor service gets you in my book. I know they could careless about my money. It is the principal...
