Revel — Local services in Kiawah Island

On November 1, 2023, my third trip into this store making purchases each time, I found a lamp that I really liked. Only one was in stock and I wanted two. The sales clerk checked with the owner about ordering one for me. The owner relayed that she could order another one, but that it would not ship until December 6, 2023 and I would have to pay in advance. I agreed to the terms, paid for both and left with one lamp. Having not received the lamp or heard from anyone, I left a message on Revel’s voicemail December 18, 2023, and asked that someone call me. Since no one called me back, I called again today (two days later) to inquire. After the sales clerk checked the status for me and was professional enough to call me back, I found out the lamp had not been shipped and was told it should be in toward the end of December. At this point, I just want my money refunded ASAP and I’ll purchase the second lamp somewhere else that values...

The last stop before my AirBnB was ready for check in. “I couldn’t believe” (-Tim McGraw) this place! Honestly, I felt like I was in a museum based on the high end product line available for all that find this hidden gem. The curator kindly had her shop at a perfect temperature on a cold January day, oh so welcoming. Sharing a wall with a liquor store, you can really get a lot of your shopping needs met. I wanted to buy the fever tree sparkling cucumber drink and pick up a couple of pilot shots of gin from next door and unfortunately no shots were to be found. I’m still reminiscing about that fever tree sparkling cucumber. Kind of made the rest of the day a little melancholic. Then later it started to rain and I knew it just was not in the cards. Maybe someday the stars will align for that perfect combo. Until then, as I stare out the window watching the rain, I will remain hopeful. Hopeful for that...

I tend to find more unique and handmade items at this store than some of the other gift stores in the area. I have been here twice and the first time was last year when I found some beautiful whisky glasses for my husband. I ended up finishing the set of those because they are really beautiful. The second time I went today and I found a blue crab plate that you can bake on. Both times I have seen some beautiful local photography. I am offering up my review because I noticed their rating seems to be lower than what my experience has been. I have found their customer service...
