Alpina Ski Shop & 940 Snowboards — Local services in Kidder Township

Stopped in here for the heck of it because in the market for a new pair of skis. I was surprised to say the least. I was greeted by a friendly staff, which is always nice to be acknowledged, but did not have someone following right behind while I browsed (although I went right for the skis). Did not have what I was looking for, but staff showed me something comparable (by a manufacture I currently use). Staff took the time the explain product and asked me questions and what I was looking for. When I left, an employee (did not know he was an employee) in the parking lot thanked me for stopping in! Reminded me of an old time family ski shop that you dont see anymore! FOLLOW UP.....so I ended up purchasing the skis that were recommended (my current manufacture) after a little research and could not be happier, actually incredible ski. Skis would not have been on my radar unless I stopped in here. Local shops around me dont even carry the model I purchased. If your looking for a ski and and professional advice stop in here...you wont be disappointed. Would def purchase more...

Needed warm snow boots and waterproof gloves for myself. Walked in through the front door. Was greeted by smiles and a genuine hello. The nice people informed me of the 30 percent off sale and promptly checked the inventory for my size of men's boot. (14 mens) i was over the moon surprised to find out they had them in stock. Right price and color. Sold!!! With all that aside..... Even before i was acknowledged with excellent customer service and a friendly smile. .. .. They had a beautiful beautiful beautiful dog. A dog with a tennis ball. A dog with a tennis ball that was friendly as the day is long. A dog with a tennis ball that wanted to be petted in between throwing the ball and shopping. Not ashamed to say that dog made my shopping experience so much better than i was expecting. A dog with a tennis ball. Thrilled my heart to see the owner toss the ball around the shop as i tried on the boots.

I got waterproof boots. Check I got waterproof gloves. Check But more importantly, i got to pet and play with their friendly gorgeous dog. Cant find...

This local shop has the most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. From renting equipment to finding an inexpensive pair of snow pants when you left yours at home or would only be using them once. To restaurant recommendations, mountain recommendations and things to do in the area. Their professionalism is far above other small businesses. I watched tourists abuse the employees because they neglected to return their equipment in a timely fashion and refused to pay for the additional days rental because they couldn’t get up early enough to return the equipment so the shop could rent it to someone else. Even though these patrons were at fault and verbally abused them, the grace that these owners exhibited was extraordinary. Any negative reviews of this shop are from “THOSE” people who feel if they are rude enough and make enough noise, they will get what they want or they feel they are...
