We hired Economove to move us from St. Michael to the Richmond area. At first things seemed to be going well. Partway through the day the company owner went to take a nap leaving leaving the younger employees in charge. While reassembling our Sleep Number bed one of the assistants cut and taped wires to “make the bed work” without our permission. When we went in to look the bed wouldn’t do any of its normal functions. After reporting this to the company before they left for the day they informed us if it ended up needing repair we should reach back out and they would make it right. A few weeks of calling Sleep Number help line to troubleshoot go by and we get Sleep Number scheduled to come out to the house. Immediately they come back to get me saying we have some bad news to share. Not only is your couple year old Sleep Number completely shot and needs total replacing, but it is a huge fire hazard because of how wires were spliced and taped. The bed was filled with air by the technician which would only last 30 days and then unplugged to prevent a fire. He also informed us the pump was broken during the move. A report stating the problem and what happened was filed with Sleep Number along with the cost of repairs. They told us we absolutely needed to reach out to our moving company to get this damage paid for. Fast forward three weeks after sending off the receipt for damages to Economove and requesting payment, multiple back and forth texts in which they admit fault, unanswered calls and unanswered emails later and they have yet to remedy the situation. We are very unhappy with how things have been handled and are unfortunately going to have to report the company to try to recoup money to replace our bed. We’re not talking a few hundred dollars in damages, but over $3,000 needed to replace the bed! That is money we simply don’t have after moving costs. I absolutely do not recommend Economove! They were careless in handling our bed, haven’t been good about communicating, and haven’t made things right! If they were willing to admit fault, pay for damages, and move on this could be a very different situation, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be what they are...
Read moreUpdate: June 2023 Dan and crew did awesome. Love that we could support a local business. Our second time using them for a residential move and we'd gladly use them again if needed. Great value as well.
Dec 2020- My wife and I moved from Maple Grove to the Otsego area last week and early on knew we'd need to find a mover. After talking to several movers we settled on Dan and his guys from Economove. What impressed me was the personal service. Economove is based out of Kimball but Dan made the trip to Maple Grove to do an in person estimate. They were the best priced and checked all the boxes to boot. They were able to empty the house/load up one day, store overnight, and deliver/unload the next day. Dan and crew showed up on time and got right to work. Even when we ended up needing a second trailer to fit it all Dan made it work. Every move has its challenges and ours was no exception but Dan and crew made it all work. I would recommend...
Read moreA great experience from start to finish. This is a local, small business that you should choose each and every time you move. They were timely, clean, professional and so careful with all of our belongings and home. We had three flights of stairs in our home and some very heavy furniture. I was amazed that these guys got our move done in less than the quoted timeframe and we had two stops on the way to load along with three trucks to unload. They are also very reasonably priced with no hidden fees. Dan and the team are truly caring of your time and circumstances and really make the day stress free. I had a lot of stress that day and anxiety from a previous horror story move. After my experience with this company, I no longer an anxious to move because I’ll know who to call next time. Obviously economove :). We were very happy and will recommend all of our friends...
