We went to Henry's for the first time for our anniversary. What a great choice! The inside, when you enter, is very welcoming and well decorated and cozy. The hostess was very polite and seated us in the diningroom right behind. My first impression was that I loved the soft and darker lighting in the room. They have higher tables, smaller tables for only two, and also larger tables and booths for groups. Our waitress greeted us kindly and was very warm and personable. For appetizers we chose the stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious. My husband ordered the steak and asparagus and side salad. He told me it was done perfectly as ordered. I opted for the salad with steak bites grilled to order. It was amazing. The loaf of bread with our meal was warm and fresh with butter on the side. For a surprise dessert we were treated (by them) to a shared large piece of chocolate cake with chocolate sauce in the middle topped with whipped cream and a candle lit for our anniversary. It was a lovely sit down meal. Some of the prices on the menu may seem high, but it really is worth it for the quality of food and service you get. You would pay far more in a big city. I have included lots of photos. So many are authentic Ford and Kingsford antiques. I love that the owners took time for extra touches like that. I wish the owners the best of luck with their restaurant. I love the outside bar area too. Thank you to our kind waitress and to the kitchen staff who prepared our meal. We will return.

This restaurant looks great, I love all they did when they remodeled the place into Henry's. They added some history memorabilia which is interesting. As far as the food goes, I started with the French Onion Soup which was delicious. For my main chorus, I got the sirloin steak and it was seasoned beautifully and it was tender. My fiancƩ got the stuffed chicken, which I tried and that was also really good, I would've enjoyed that if I ordered it myself. We topped it off with a piece of chocolate cake (can't recall the exact name) and it was amazing, the only thing I could say is that the piece was kinda small for the price they charge. Overall, a great experience, our waitress was very attentive and a gentleman that I believe was the owner, stopped at our table and made small talk which I appreciated.

We tried out Henry's steakhouse this evening and we'll be go back again.😁 My husband and I both got the broiled cod off the menu. They give you a nice amount of fish. You get bread, a salad, beans and coleslaw with it. And you are able to choose between spaghetti, ravioli, or gnocchi to go with it. I got the meat ravs and thought that they had a great flavor to the meat inside. I liked the broiled cod and coleslaw too. I didn't even try the beans because I was full. The owner stopped by our table and thanked us for coming in which was very nice of him. Lastly, the women's bathroom is beautiful! šŸ˜ I'm including a list of their appetizers but didn't take a picture of the menu.

So, I swung by Henry's Steak House in Kingsford, MI, and honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. The vibe when I walked in was kinda dated and not in a cool retro way, more like it needed a serious update. Plus, the lighting was so dim I felt like I needed a flashlight to read the menu.

Let's talk about the service—or lack thereof. The staff seemed like they'd rather be binge-watching Netflix than taking our orders. It took ages for them to even acknowledge us, and then our food took forever to arrive. Our server kept disappearing, and we had to flag them down just to get a refill on our drinks.

Now, onto the steaks. I had high hopes, but they were tough as old boots and totally lacking in flavor. It was like they'd never heard of seasoning or a proper grill. And don't even get me started on the sides—they were about as exciting as watching paint dry.

And the prices? Let's just say they were way too high for what we got. I felt like I'd been robbed, honestly.

Overall, Henry's Steak House didn't exactly knock my socks off. Between the lackluster atmosphere, slow service, mediocre food, and inflated prices, I'd say it's probably best to give this...

We went for a group party. It was confusing from the beginning. We ordered drinks, but the waitress only had one tab for everyone. We declined and paid for our own. In the end everyone paid for their own.

We sat around drinking and visiting, wondering if we were supposed to go to the bar to order or if a waitress would come around and take orders. One table received food, and the rest waited about an hour before our orders were taken.

Once the orders were placed, appetizers were delivered in short order, and food soon followed.

Mozzarella sticks were fresh, light, and fat—the standard for Mozzarella sticks.

We both ordered NY Strip and garlic mashed potatoes. It was wonderful. Tender, flavorful cooked medium rare like I ordered. As a side note, a customer across the table ordered a medium well filet mignon. It was rare. So rare she had to send it back.

About 45 minutes later, I was hit with horrible stomach cramps and liquid diaherra. For hours. Absolutely awful.

But the food was so good, I would risk it and eat at...
