Callie Kays General Store — Local services in Kingsland

I was genuinely hoping with being under new ownership, that this store would be better to shop at and have better customer service, however Callie Kay’s is still lacking in said departments. They’re a little bit nicer than the last people (they were always rude, short and acted as if they could care less whether you spent your money there or not), but still will walk right past you like you’re a ghost and never ask can they help you find anything or if you would like for them to take the arm full of items you’re carrying around while shopping either to the register or to a fitting room. Considering the amount of money I have spent out there, it would be nice to at least feel like my patronage is appreciated and to have better shopping experiences. The selection of jeans are pitiful unless you love giant bell bottoms or skinny jeans. I made the mistake of asking about a particular brand of jeans since the new family took over and the young girl who I spoke to was terribly rude and snotty with her response. Luckily I haven’t had to see her since. I don’t believe I’ll be giving them my business again anytime soon. It’s a shame because I really do enjoy browsing and shopping here, even though they’re prices are a bit ridiculous. Oh and put some fans in your fitting rooms or something, there’s absolutely no air circulation in there and by the time I tried on 3 pairs of pants, a shirt and a pair of shorts I was burning...

They don't even rate 1 star. Stopped at clothing store & general store. All I can say is what miserable unfriendly wenches. If family owned, your daughters will put u in poorhouse. I might shop going out of business sale MAYBE. Young girl at clothing store had small child and had no interest nor did she assist us or other gentleman shopping for boots and we both went to her for assistance which neither of us received. We both got a brisk, *if we have it , it'll be on the rack. After traveling from Crooked River we did spend $100. Then we went to General Store for a drink. There is 1 other customer & 2 store employees. We wanted only fountain drink. We asked how we got a cup and got another brisk " you have to get them from cashier after u pay and it's going to be a few minutes. And we said "screw this , not begging for nor waiting 10 minutes for a cup. Saw only 2 other reviews like mine making me believe the others surely are family or fake....

I like that a small town can have a store with all the new brands. But I was not happy when we walked in and didn't get a hello or welcome from anyone working there. We walked in and browsed at the sunglasses for 5-8 minutes. My fiancee went and stood over by the counter to get some assistance. The cashier was already with a customer so he waited until she was done before he asked for help. Well after she got done with that customer she looked at my fiancee (who was waiting off to the side because he was waiting to ask for help) then another customer walked up and placed some items on the counter. Even thou he had been standing there waiting and she seen him standing there she turned and helped the other person that placed items on the counter and didn't even say a word to my fiancee. So we ended up having to drive all the way into to jax so I could get me a new Costa sunglasses for my birthday. (well that was $500.00 they...
