If I could rate negative stars I would. I purchased a vehicle for $12,000 in July of 2024. Since purchased it has required Approximately $12,000 in repairs. Within 24 hours of purchase the check engine light came on, and had to return it to the dealer after arguing with them to fix it. The car required a HEAD GASKET and CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. Hard to believe Ball was unaware. I was out of a vehicle for 2 weeks waiting on repair. Within 3 days of returning it the car started leaking oil from a part they claimed to have replaced. Back to another shop for a $1250 repair. Now the transmission failed and has been at the shop again since 3\18\2025. The transmission shop says it will be approximately $8,000 to repair. In total I have owned this car for about 7 months and only had it in my possession for 5 due to mechanical failures. I have reached out to the dealer multiple times and been offered absolutely no help. Ball preowned lied to me about an “included” warranty that was anything but included and is completely useless. The warranty should have been optional if I was paying for it above the cost of the car but was not given the option. It seems Ball Preowned sells vehicles with known problems forcing a warranty to cover repairs they know the car needs. I will be filing complaints with the FTC, WV SOS, and the WV Attorney Generals Office to try and seek some sort of help. Stay away from this dealer by all means necessary, or risk ending up like me paying for a car that DOES NOT RUN, AND WILL SPEND MORE TIME IN THE SHOP THAN IN YOUR DRIVEWAY
Let’s clarify as Ball claims
They allegedly repaired the first 2 issues after a huge argument on the phone and was told I would be canceling the purchase if they did not, Ball had no initial intention to help at all.
The car did not leak oil until Ball Preowned “repaired” it which is a part they would have to remove if ball did the work they said. So seems balls workmanship caused the part failure.
It took them 2 weeks to do the repair leaving me with no vehicle
During said repair was told they replaced the part that started leaking oil causing another repair for $1250.00 that I paid for an “non-covered” part,
The “warranty” only want to install used parts with unknown mileage and no warranty to try and cause this same situation later and expects me to pay the difference for actual replacement. Ball auto claimed warranty was included in price not an additional cost to me and obviously lied. Now you claim that a 30+ mechanic can’t do paperwork? That’s your SO CALLED HELP?
Having been in contact with your company multiple times it is apparent this is how Ball Preowned does business. Which is selling poor condition vehicles, charging above fair market value and does not care about their customers. When I contacted ball about the transmission they said there was nothing they could do.
If you want to help as you claim then make it right, fix the car correctly or return the vehicle, that is help. Telling me you will tell someone how to do paperwork doesn’t sound like help it sounds like fraud and disrespectful to a 30+ year ASE CERTIFIED MASTER MECHANIC
With a voluntary surrender seeming to be my only option, don’t destroy your credit as I will have to because I can’t comprehend paying $12,000 for a vehicle which made it to barely 10,000 miles without requiring another $12,000 in repairs.
Ball pre owned won’t care they still get paid and with no repercussions will continue their fraudulent...

Read moreMy car was recently totaled, and I had a narrow timeline to find and purchase a new vehicle. After a week of searching, I found a great vehicle at this location. I scoured the web looking for the same make and model vehicles, but I couldn't find anything close that even began to compare. Literally everything on the web was really high mileage, not much of a service record, or just priced really high. I got a fantastic deal on an SUV that I absolutely adore that was within my budget. The purchase process was also a breeze. I so much appreciated how quickly and efficiently the process was completed. What was a terrible situation turned into an unexpected birthday gift to myself...and it's the best one so far!...
