I realized after I had entered the store that I had forgotten to bring their usual weekly "$5 off $25" coupon on the receipt from the purchase I made earlier in the week. There were lots of good bargains to choose from, including clearance items in the toy department. When I got to the register I explained to the cashier that I had forgotten my coupon. She cheerfully said she'd extend the $5 discount anyway, seeing that it was a big purchase over $25. Checkout was smooth, and the sale/clearance items came up at the proper posted prices. There was no haggling, no having to try to convince anyone that sale items were indeed on sale and no having to take an employee by the hand and lead them to an aisle to show them where a sale sign is posted! What a relief! And what a pleasure to be able to buy items at reasonable prices for the actual prices as posted!
I give my best regards and thanks to the management and staff at the store for conducting business in an honest, competent and customer-friendly way! I realize that this level of service and cooperation with the customer may not reflect what goes on at other DG stores. (I've had more than one unpleasant experience at some other locations.) I hope that what I have experienced most recently is a sign of overall improvement at DG stores and a sign of better things to come...
Read moreTerrible customer service I honestly I never experience such racist behavior in a dollar general. I literally came to buy something and the lady cashier literally call me out telling me that I stole something and that she saw me put it in my bag that it was all in the cameras. I mean I don’t have problem with her telling me that I stole something cause I knew I didn’t however she call me out she told me if I didn’t show her my bag she was gonna call the police with whole attitude and Insisting that it was all in cameras I was like okay I’ll show you my bag literally didn’t have anything then she had the audacity to tell me that I slip it off. If I did slip it out their was no need for her to tell me to show her my bag if I didn’t take anything. Honestly make it make sense if you are gonna lie at least make it a good lie. Honestly plus I was with my little cousin and pregnant aunt the humiliation they probably felt by this lady saying we stole something literally killed the whole mood. (Her name is Amanda Ramirez I didn’t wanted to call her out however the attitude and behavior she had towards us was really rude and wouldn’t want another Hispanic family to experience the same racism and humiliation from a lady...
Read moreI don't mind visiting this Dollar General. The employees are distant but not in a rude way. Its more that improving the customer experience just by smiling or being somehow pleasant vs. What we get there. Theres just no real engagement and every interaction you are made painfully aware that its only happening because its required. Like I said not unpleasant, its just not really anything. The only thing that I am not a fan of is the front of store, cashwrap, and main center aisle. I'm not sure if this location is just smaller than the others or the layout has to be this way, but it is very cramped and crowded with product and fixtures. And, this location always seems to be the busiest, probably because its right at the intersection of 494 and 1485 and that is a really busy road and light. I only bring this up because without fail anytime after 3 there tends to be a line and because the front, cashwrap, aisle area is crowded with stuff, you add a line of people waiting to check out to that AND the doors are RIGHT there so customers are walking in as well. It just seems like it could be rearranged to give not only the shoppers ease but the...
