Two stars at best. I would even go so far as to call them scam artists. I would not recommend them to do amp repairs to anyone at this point. I sent two Taramps BASS 20k's to them, since they are a "certified repair shop", waited nearly a month only to have them tell me there is nothing wrong with my amps and blame my trucks electrical. My truck is flawless in that department, with electrical to spare. All connections are tight, all subs are good to go. When my amps were picked up they couldn't even tell me if my amps were ever even opened. They didn't even acknowledge the fact that one of my fans isn't coming on, and when asked about it they looked confused. They then, again, proceeded to accuse me of over-volting my amps, because they didn't even know the voltage range my amps operate in. To me and everyone I know it seems they didn't even actually check the amps out. And the cherry on top, they tried to charge me double what the initial quote was for diagnostic. Claiming it's because the amps are "big amps, not the little ones", although they were actually physically touching my amps with their hands when they gave me the quote in person! Ridiculous. Rant over, even though I...
Read moreI had an appointment at another place for window tinting and for installing a Bluetooth and CarPlay capable radio with a backup camera for my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. But when I got there, I did not like the quality of the radio that was going to be installed (a $70 no-name Chinese head unit from Amazon) or the quoted price (over $800 for the head unit, installation and tint). I saw Max Audio was nearby and read some of the reviews and decided to stop by for a quote. Their quote was a lot lower, they installed a Pioneer head unit, the window tinting was very well done, and three months in, I’m more than satisfied with their work. The employees were super friendly, the owner oversaw the installation and he even cut his lunch break short to work on my car. While I was there, a rep from an alarm company came by to talk to the owner. They talked openly in the showroom and the owner showed the rep how well he knows his trade. If I had any doubts about their work, I had none after hearing them talk. I would recommend Max Audio to everyone, and I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with them. I’m sold on being their customer for...
Read moreI visited Max Audio in March to have them diagnose what was wrong with my rear subwoofer in my stock system. I was charged $70 to diagnose and if it was an easy fix, they would apply that to the repair. Unfortunately, it was not an easy repair and I was told they didn't have time to fix it and that I could make an appointment so they could take care of it. Upon putting my stereo back together, the technician (I'm assuming was the owner) dropped my screen causing the touchscreen function to no longer work. I pointed this out and the owner and his wife took full responsibility for breaking the screen and assured me that they would fix it by replacing the unit. I was told they would call me when the unit was in and be replaced. Fast forward almost 6 months and a few calls later, my touch screen is still broken and at this point I have lost hope. I paid $70 to have someone break my touch screen, promise to replace it and then ghost. I was looking forward to good service because of all the good reviews. Unfortunately, it seems like I did not get the same good service...
