Two nights ago, me and my girlfriend decided that it would be a fun birthday date since I've never been and she loves the place. It was an amazing experience.. until my car died. I tried to start it and it just would not turn over.. turns out you shouldn't leave you car's audio running alongside ventilation WITHOUT something charging the battery. Go figure. So, of course, I'm working on everything trying to get something to work since we no longer had audio and were parked very slightly out of reach of the speaker so we couldn't use that either. I ran up to the concession stand and asked if someone could possibly jump me, and one of the ladies working that night asked me if I could come back either at the end or in the intermission and they'd gladly take their jump pack out and get my car running. In my head, this seemed alright since at the time, my car wouldn't turn over but I still had audio. I thanked her and went back. 2-3 minutes later, car audio dies, so there I go back to the stand. Explain my situation, and she immediately starts looking for their jump pack. Around about 8 minutes go by, when she finally comes back and says that her husband ended up borrowing it since he's having battery issues with his car, so she was looking for jumper cables. I was lucky enough to say I had some in the back of my car. She said great and swiftly we were off in her car to get us back up and running. Being the greatest man of all, I, of course, only knew a small bit about jumping a car, but luckily she knew from experience. After a while of having to climb through my back door to the back hatch (my electronic lock was dead in the water, of course) I got my cables and 1, 2, 3! We were back up and running. I asked her if she worked there or owned the place and she ended up being one of the owners! I never caught her name, but she was one of the nicest people I've stumbled across and she didn't think twice about helping out in our time of need. It seemed like to me that she was most worried about us and our experience at Melody, and not the inconvenience to her. This really proved me that the service there was above and beyond and I will be back as often as I can, this is a small business that I'm glad to say that I proudly support! Amazing people, food was great, popcorn was great, I have nothing bad...
Read moreIt’s been 2 seasons since we’ve come here. I waited an hour and 10 in the concession line missing the movie for some popcorn and a drink. I would have/should have just left the line but once you’ve been waiting 30 minutes and relatively close, you honestly just push through thinking it won’t be much longer. Once you get in the building you’ll wait another 20 minutes. The popcorn was not good, tasted like nothing, no butter, no salt. . I feel as thought the menu should be simplified because those workers were working so hard to get customers out but some people order A LOT of complicated things. Got back to the car only to see someone parked next to us in a spot that isn’t even one, left their loud van on to have the AC running or something and left us without being able to hear. Also two cars ahead of us running but one thankfully turned theirs off. I’ve gone here (besides this two year break) since I was a child and it was not our best or near best experience. We ended up leaving from lack of being able to hear the movie. So hopefully the people who came later into the movie and parked next to us got to enjoy it. I can’t say I won’t be back, because my family will! But I will say I definitely will bring my own food and refreshments and hope we don’t get rude...
Read moreNice location overall. Food was actually at a good price and not bad. They are known by their signature bread sticks which take about 15-20 minutes for an order. That isn't too bad when you only have a handful of staff. Even with that they are very kind and seem to enjoy their job. I would recommend that they work on getting something together to organize the order line and the waiting for food line. It seemed like a lot of people just standing around which makes the process seem unorganized. I was seeing prospective customers walking away because they didn't realize their were only 2-3 people ahead of them rather than the 20 people bunched together. I started helping people know where the lines where and who was ordering and who was waiting so the drive in wouldn't lose too much business. Movie prices are great! You get to watch 2 movies for about $5.00 each. To get to the drive-in was a bit dangerous, the roads in town have very poor lighting so you'll use your high beams often when heading home. Drive in is clean, speakers work well, people were friendly, food was decent and well priced, restroom was cleaned but I would recommend better lighting when stepping out of the restroom saw a lady trip on the doorway on her way out. Nice place to take...
