I ordered a building thru buildings for less. The reason I ordered from them is they had good reviews. I had no idea they would use coast to coast carports after I made my down payment. Coast to coast has been a disaster. After ordering I kept in touch with them . Sheronna...was 1 of the 4 representatives I have talked to. She said as soon as my slab was done call her. She said my building had already been cut and it would take less than two weeks to be built. I called the day my slab was complete. She said she will call me later with the schedule. Never called...then found out someone by the name of Jerry took her place. He too said in less than two weeks I will have my building. Waited 2 weeks and nothing. So I called again he said the installers weren't in that day. He would call me Monday with a scheduled date for install. Mon day came and went no call. So I called several times no answer . I then talked to Madison? She said he had to attend a funeral. Not to be rude but generally speaking it take time to plan a funeral he knew he wouldn't be around Monday! Besides with covid does anyone really attend funaerals i dunno.... I called him the following week. He told me that my colors weren't in. What?? Umm I was told my building was cut and ready to go a month ago, so they had my colors then but not now. I asked to speak with his supervisor. Jen is the supervisor. She was nice and said there wouldn't be any reason my building couldn't be built before the end of the year. She said she would call the warehouse in my area and call me on Friday with the date of install. I did not receive a call so I called them on Friday. Madison? said Jen was in a meeting but she could see that she planned on calling me after the meeting. You guessed it no call....I called Monday no answer. I called Tuesday. I reminded Jen she was supposed to call me Friday. She said her kid was sick and she wasn't in the office on Friday. I said thats odd because your secretary said you were in a meeting. She apologized and said she didn't know why I was told that. She then said she would call the warehouse and get back to me. No calls so again I called her. Apparently according to Madison she was in a meeting but she gave me a message from her stating the warehouse in our area is closed until after the first of the year. Of course I didnt believe her and asked where the warehouse was located in my area. I then asked if i could speak with someone above Jen. I was told all the higher management was in a meeting upstairs together and she didn't dare interupt the meeting.I called the warehouse itself and she confirmed they were going to close til after the first of the year. The lady I spoke with was Diane. I told Diane some of the troubles I've been having. She apologized and said they make the schedules thru the Arkansas office and she couldn't do anything to help me. Then she mentioned that the meetings they were having simply couldn't happen in office as everyone was working from home in the Arkansas office. I purchased my building in August. We are now in December with no schedule in place. Im now faced with purchasing another building permit. These people are liars. I feel like I have been scammed. No communication no professionalism horrible customer service! I will not be recommending...
Read moreMy family started our endeavors with this fraudulent company back in September of 2018. We ordered and paid for a brand new 30’ by 10’ RV cover and a 20’ by 20’ garage. The company called us on a Friday and said the buildings would be assembled Monday and we would have to make sure power was available. Our electrician agreed to overtime wages for weekend labor, had Raven called earlier, it would have been a lot cheaper, however we received a call Monday stating they had an issue with another customer and won’t be there till Tuesday. On Tuesday we got the same call stating they had installed the wrong building at another location and had to push us again. This went on for a week before they delivered their trash to my property. They claimed we had to buy 20 bricks for the RV cover so it wouldn’t drain water off the front. We bought the bricks and left them onsite for the installation. We had previously had both sites professionally leveled. Without any notice, the company came and set up the buildings. That was the point we should have canceled the contract and gone our separate ways. The RV cover has all the bricks bolted under the rear of the structure forcing all drainage off the front. The walls are missing about 4’ of material each. The garage had a rollup door and a walkin door. The rollup door was bent out of shape to the point it would not line up and latch or roll without excessive force. The walk-in door has tread marks from a vehicle that was driven across it. This bent the door where it doesn’t touch the seal, but has a 1” gap. They drilled the hole for the doorknob in the wrong spot rendering the door useless as it can not be latched. The roof off the garage has 2” gaps in places. The panels on the back of the garage were folded up and flattened out with a hammer. I have spoken with Raven, Jen, Mary, Scott, as well as 20 other representatives from coast to coast. The company has sent out crews 7 times now and they have only been able to replace the rollup door. Excuses have ranged from “we don’t have an order” to “we will no longer speak to you.” On 12/1/2018, we gave them one final chance to fix the buildings, the crew came onto my property without notice, got their trucks stuck driving where they were told not to, did not touch anything on the buildings, and proceeded to put 2.5’ ruts in my land. Not a typo, two and a half FOOT ruts. They also ran over several trees that were over 3’ tall. Now, I have found out that on 11/28/2018 coast to coast carports bond was suspended in my state. This means the company has taken my money, played around for 3 months, and now I am forced to hire an attorney to sue for damages. I would recommend paying more at another company and avoid coast to coast carports at all costs. I will try and update along the...
Read moreIt’s is because of companies like this the BBB was established. As you can see from responses on reviews they’re more worried about defending their honor than remedying the complaint. My experience started through a Facebook Ad for Blue Ridge Buildings. Once the contract was signed I was told that I’d have to contact the manufacturer Coast to Coast carports for anything involving the actual barn. So I did, a few weeks after I paid my deposit. They stated that they would not put me on the scheduling list until I had may my first payment. This was after the initial deposit. I was unaware of this, however it did state it on the contract. Once I placed the initial payment I was told it would be 8-16 weeks before I would have the barn. I waited probably 6 weeks and called the company again. She said the same thing it would be 8-16 weeks before they could come out. Frustrated, and needing a barn right away I advised them that I did not have six months to wait on a barn and that I was to the point of canceling my contract. A week later I was contacted by a representative who said that she saw I spoke with Cheyenne the week prior and that there was an opening in the schedule. She said they could be out first thing tomorrow (this was almost a month ago). I agreed and said I was ready, even though we weren’t, however I was not going to be put back at the bottom of the waiting list. So their “crew” showed up, 3 Hispanic males, one of which was the foreman that spoke very little English. They got to my house at about 330pm and worked until 9pm. They then came out the next day around 9am and worked until they finished at about 8pm. At the end of it they left a huge pile of trash, nuts and bolts strewn throughout the barn and my yard, an interior wall was not completed, there were handprints all over the white tin, red chalk lines, dents, etc. I called the company the very next day about the interior wall. The person I spoke with said they’d talk to a supervisor and call me back. It never happened. I was told twice I’d be put on a priority list for repairs (even though the wall was put in the contract, and left out by their “crew”). I’ve called once a week for 3 weeks and still nothing. I’ve not made my second payment, and honestly not sure if I’d rather go to court for false advertising, misrepresentation of products, breach of contract, and multiple other inconveniences their company has caused me or make my payment. The reviews are real. The company is terrible....
