Food Lion — Local services in La Follette

Felt so violated entering the store I was a visitor from out of town first time ever in this store . It was uncomfortable as a African American to enter to the store you were looked at as if you was not supposed to go in this store I swear that they act like they had never seen black folks before. I was disgusted the cashier that check us out basically threw out food , never even spoke , we had alcohol so the gentleman "cashier" never acknowledge us but at this point he had to say something as the manager stood on the phone she was just as rude as the cashier she never came to check to help , and she was standing right there just looking in blank stare someone else came and help from around the corner to assist , It's sad that there is still racism in America especially in the beautiful city Lafollette, Tennessee. I have been many places but I have never felt this uncomfortable in any area . And even if people are they don't stare and show the act of ignorance. I visited a Walmart a few miles down total different vibe they spoke and treated you as you were apart of the community. My money is green just like your and my blood pumps red just like yours . Can't we all just get along I feel sorry for this town and hope their mayor , city councilman, govern know and teach diversity we can go...

i always go here with my service dog to grocery shop once a week and everyone is very respectful and compliments us because you don’t see many Dobermans nowadays. it helps to be a member because they always have great member prices, i always check out their ad online beforehand and i always tend to make my trip mid-week mid-day and they’ve always got great prices for meats on manager discount. it’s really important to me that people respect that i have a service dog and give us space and don’t distract him, no one there baby talks him or tries to pet him, they just call him beautiful and say how well behaved he is. i appreciate being able to mind my own and grocery shop without being gawked at, one of the many reasons we don’t go to Walmart anymore! everyone at this Food Lion location is awesome and truly the best experience i’ve had at a grocery store which is why i keep coming back! both me and my boy...

I do the majority of my grocery shopping@ Food Lion. They have an app that can be downloaded from either Google Play or the App Store. You can save yourself a great amount of time, because you always have their weekly ad. You can scan your MVP card from your phone at checkout. This app allows you to do numerous things, such as making your shopping list, having all your coupons loaded onto your MVP card , as well as a recipe finder. Just list ingredients you have on hand and and the recipe finder gives you meal ideas. Since I started using Food Lion's app it is amazing at the amount I have been saving on my grocery bill. I only wish I had known about their app sooner. That is my reason for addressing the benefits of their app in this review.
