Union County Fairgrounds — Local services in La Grande

Our local fairground at the edge of La Grande, Oregon. Though small, the grounds host a number of events including the Union County Fair.

During events there are a number of attractions and usually concession stands as well.

The crew does a pretty good job of both set-up and clean-up, and it's usually a pleasant place to come experience a local event.

The only 'Bad' thing I can really say is that the fairgrounds are a missed opportunity for the local communities... It's rarely utilized except for a few times a year, but could host a bunch of other smaller events.

The county and city could make it a destination if they'd create a green way or walking path around the grounds and connect it back to La Grande. An RC car track and/or other uses might also attract...

You're not getting five stars from me until you book Five Finger Death Punch at the fair. They love God, guns, and America. A band for nearly everyone (sorry grandparents), with music that's hard and angry enough for teens ready to enter their rebellion years while bland and vanilla enough for Mom and Dad to tolerate and ridiculous enough for older siblings to keep paying attention to by laughing and pointing fingers...

We used this place for an event. There was no fair happening so no crowds and it worked out well. They have a lot of broken tables so be sure to ask them upfront how many "good working" tables are available to be sure it meets your needs. Has been good for us but I wish they has a small PA system as well. Kitchen on site, restrooms, etc....
