Went in there to pick up a load for Denver pa. After getting loaded I went to the nearest cat scale which was 4 miles away to ck my weight. I was 81060 with a 2020 freight liner and a utility trailer that is 4 years old. Went back to customer to have a pallet taken off. When I arrived was was attack buy a lady from the office and was told this is why we requested a veteran driver. I informed her I’m a 25 year veteran and that I could hold 44,000lb legally. There bill said 25 pallets of beef with a net weight of 42,000lb. She told me if you add the pallets weight of 30lb per pallet your weight is now 30 times 25 = 750 750+42,000= 42,750. The lady said after explaining this to me there is no way you can hold that much weight and not be over weight and this is why I requested a veteran driver. After showing her my cat scale tick she then tell me if I slide my tailer tandems I could drop my gross weight some. 44,000lb of beef weighs the same as 44,000lb of feathers. Well they took the load off of me. Wen empty I went and got a light weigh for the same scale. They put 44,780lb pounds of beef on my trail. I went back to show the rude lady this she insisted that the cat scale was wrong. After trying to explain to her nicely that her scale was off. She admit it they don’t have a scale and that they estimate what the wait is. But insisted that it was my equipment that couldn’t hold the weight. So please ck your...
Read moreIf I could give -5 starts I would. As a refeer driver I plan on having to wait 2-3 hours maybe 4 and I understand that when you get the load to come here it’s too late to turn it down so I will not say like I read a lot “ Don’t take a load coming here” cause by the time you read this it’s too late lol. It’s not room to park overnight you could get lucky but it’s a Loves 9 miles away you can always find or make a spot there it’s pretty big and new. As for what to except when you get here bring breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Got here at 10 am so come here early if you find a spot check in they go first come first serve and they take on average 3 hours per truck. I got here at 9:30 am it’s now 1640 and it was only 3 trucks in front of me this morning I am next to load. Finally...
Read moreGreat people, slow unloading. Plan to be here at least 20 hours. Appointment times go out the window. I live locally here and thats why its rated 3 stars as I can drive my rig back home to Hobart, IN. Make sure you have food on board and no load preplanned while waiting. I am 7th truck from a first come first serve thats supposed to start at 8am on a monday while everyone checked in prior to that. As I review this, I am on the street as the parking area is full of trailers and trucks. They are renovating as well so space is diminished. Beg and plea with your dispatch for dentention pay. Other reviews that are about slow times and stuff are accurate to a T. I have never had an issue unloading from my local region...
