I contacted Heritage initially because my 17+ year old hot water heater began leaking, and needed to be replaced. They had someone out to look at it the following day, and were here installing the replacement hot water tank the day after that. Everything was clearly explained and laid out up-front, and not only was there no up-sell, they actually talked me out of up-selling myself (I had asked about going tankless, and while they would have been happy to do it, after reviewing my usage and concerns, it became very clear there was just no reason to go to the extra expense.). The crew was professional, polite, courteous, and clean -- when they were done, the only hint that they were here at all was the shiny new hot water tank in the utility closet.
Unfortunately, my property was struck by lightning that same afternoon, less than 2 hours after they wrapped up the hot water heater, permanently damaging my well pump system. I was on the phone with Heritage again that evening, and had very much the same experience on the second go-round. They were at my house at 6:30AM the next business day (lightning struck on a Friday afternoon, and they advised me that they couldn't do that repair with the limited weekend coverage ... but the trust they'd already built outweighed the inconvenience of the weekend w/o water, so I waited until Monday).
Again - no-pressure sales, and we discussed the pro's and con's of moving up to a constant-pressure (VFD) system ... it was a different crew for this job, but the experience was the same. Polite, courteous, professional and clean. The job was done quickly, and as it turns out, my original well pump was severely undersized by the original builder, so they actually left my home in much better condition than they found it!

Read moreCalled to get an estimate to fix my shower head, which was wobbly and also the wall around it was soft and there was a stain on the drop ceiling tile in the basement below it. He ran the water for a while to see if there was a leak- confirmed no leak (still not sure why the ceiling was stained but okay) and then told me he had to access behind the wall to really know whatâs going on - fine. They donât do drywall but he told me that up front and I was fine with him cutting out the section that was soft anyway. Cost to do the work was $380 regardless of what they find. I shouldâve just said forget it and cut open the wall myself. Once he got in there the shower head was just mounted loosely to the stud and basically needed a screw. $380 for a screw. I asked him if itâll be cheaper now and he said no. At this point Iâm like okay they told me the cost and Iâm just dumb for agreeing to it but then he proceeds to tell me/show me how my tub faucet has a gap between it and the wall and âtheyâre all differentâ so without removing it he wonât be able to tell me how much work it would be to fix and he could give me an estimate, etc. I asked if it had a set screw and suggested maybe itâs just loose and I could just caulk it and he just kept saying itâs hard to tell, theyâre all different, blah blah. I donât remember my faucet having a gap like that before, but I just said no and he left. When he left I checked and the set screw was loosened and it was pulled out from the wall a little. Iâm pretty sure he was just trying to con me into spending more money I didnât need to spend. Left a bad taste in my mouth for sure. I wonder if I was a man if it would've gone the same way. Trust is everything. Wonât be...
Read moreFive Stars for Heritage Plumbing and Heating!
I recently had the pleasure of working with James from Heritage Plumbing and Heating, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment he arrived, he was professional and courteous, even wearing shoe booties to keep my home clean. James was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring there were no surprises when it came to billing.
I called Heritage Plumbing and Heating at 8:10 AM, and to my surprise, they said they could have someone at my house within 30 minutes to address the issue with my boiler, which had been shutting off during showers. This prompt response was a pleasant surprise!
After the initial assessment, they recognized the need for a master technician and promptly informed me that someone would arrive between 12 PM and 4 PM. I truly appreciated their clear communication throughout the process. The technician called me 30 minutes before arrival, just as they promised.
James was not only skilled but also took the time to listen to my husband's message regarding the furnace's previous issues. After completing the work, he returned upstairs and allowed me to put my husband on speakerphone so they could discuss the repairs. His pleasant demeanor and knowledge made the entire experience even better.
This was my first time calling a service for our furnace, and I am so glad we chose Heritage Plumbing and Heating. I would not hesitate to request James for any future service...
