Don’t bother going to Fiber if you can get another company for internet do it. I have videos from a 2 hour long movie on Paramount + I pay for that has stopped randomly three times and booted me completely twice and then I have to go back and find it to restart it a 2 hour movie has taken almost three and I’m over it! We call they tell us everything looks fine on their side and we have perfect signal. My behind I have video evidence you lie. Go elsewhere friends

My cable box keeps turning off by itself. It’s Saturday, and they say the soonest they can get a tech out to swap boxes is Tuesday. Horrible customer service. Their commercials are nothing but lies. So I’m supposed to go 3 days without cable? The photo below is what you get with Armstrong. Their commercial where they say the haven’t changed their name because of their reputation is joke, because their service sucks!

This review is for Armstrong's internet only.

I was an 8 year customer of Armstrong and have NEVER been happy with their speed and reliability of their internet. It always drops off and I have to restart my modem DAILY! It is such a stress in my life to hear 'dad! The internet doesn't work again!'. I've had an Armstrong guy at my house countless times and they can't find anything wrong. My modem was even directly connect to the main line that enters my house and now after reading these reviews its an obvious quality problem on Armstrong's part.

Where are you AT&T U-Verse??!!! I'll even take Time Warner or Cox Communications!!!! Because Armstrong is a JOKE!!!! The other reviewers are right, you seriously have to try to suck to get a 1 star review!!!

My monthly bill was $40/month (which WAS reasonable), then it went to $45, then $50 and now I'm getting data overage charges and it's $70!!??!! Just for unreliable internet!!??!!You're not Verizon charging for cell data you JERKS! It's home internet. And for a customer of 8 years who pays his bill on time every month you're not going to take off the overage charges to compensate for your horrible service???

So I finally switched to Frontier DSL internet who is half the price with NO OVERAGES (and a free year of Amazon Prime). I was worried that the 6 MBPS vs. Armstrong's (supposed) 30 MBPS would be noticeable... NOPE! And I haven't had to reset my modem once! Everyone is happy!

So for anyone who is new to the area or is thinking about going to Armstrong for internet... DON'T DO IT!!! Go to Frontier or even dial up!

And no I don't work for Frontier I am just a very unhappy ex-Armstrong customer who can't believe they think they can charge overages for unreliable internet and still be in business.

Update 7/29/17 THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!!!! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We had no choice but to go back to Armstrong for cable because there is NO OTHER option in Medina... and they screwed us again! We signed up for the $44.95 Zoom internet plan and of course after a few months it goes up to $72.95... No one told us! They said it was a promotion when we signed up and the promotion has ended. We were NEVER told this when we signed up. And of course because Armstrong has a data limit we are forced to the $72.95 plan so we don't have overages. PLEASE can another internet/cable company come to Medina so Armstrong can go out of business!!!! How do they sleep at night especially seeing all of the 1 star...

Updating my review since someone posted review claiming their internet has "never been down in 12 years" in Medina. Well, a quick trip to any tracking site (like 'down detector') will show you, just in 2020: January - outage February - outage March - 5 outages (yes, 5 outages) April - also 5 outages May - 3 outages June - outage July - 2 outages August - 2 outages September - 3 outages October - 5 outages (the Oct. 4 outage was the worst, over 2 hours during work hours, approx. 9:30am is when it started) November - 2 outages December - the month is still young, no outages yet, they have 27 days to hit their 3 outage average, if there is anything Armstrong can accomplish, it is that.

Just ask yourself this question: if other providers like AT&T, Spectrum, Verizon, and Google were available in the Medina market...do you think Armstrong would survive? Of course not. They would be obliterated by better pricing, better service. Which is how capitalist market economy is supposed to work. And that is why commerce regulations allowing providers to "zone" themselves in should be illegal.

The rest of previous review: Armstrong went down about an hour ago. Been down for an entire hour. All of their customers - no internet. They do this often. More than any other ISP...yet, like previous times, they will not apologize or discount a bill. No - instead they will send a letter every year that essentially says "we have improved our infrastructure and services...therefore we will be raising the prices." A completely unapologetically inept company with no customer focus whatsoever, no business model that makes sense (other than leaning on commerce law to have regions where they are practically the only option). A bigger provider can't 'buy' them...nothing to buy. A dingy office with poorly trained (and likely poorly paid) staff...techs that are nice but clearly underpaid. This company is a joke - if you have an option...ANY other option: take it.

And no...Armstrong will not reply to any of their reviews or try to rectify customer complaints publicly like a smart/modern company would...nope: they...

Armstrong is a company that arouses complete disdain from anyone that is forced to do business with them. They have a cable monopoly here in Medina, and they basically thumb their nose at the entire city by charging exorbitant prices that are continually on the rise for a subpar product. After my basic cable and internet bill climbed over $200/mo, I decided to drop the cable, bolster the internet, and switch to a streaming service.

Now, I've been having issues with my $80/mo internet dropping out all the time. After close to a dozen calls to technical support, and multiple service calls to the house, they were still no closer to determining the problem than when it started. Finally, after one night of being fed up with my internet freezing up, I called and tried again. The tech said that he noticed a setting that he believed was causing the issue, but that he isn't authorized to change it himself, so he puts me on hold. After 5 minutes, he comes back and says that the company was limiting something to do with IP addresses, but that I should be good to go.

He was right. My service worked great after that... until recently, when it's I'm now having the same problems all over again. After talking to other customers, it seems as if I am not the only person to experience this issue. At this point, I'm going to give them one last chance to get this fixed once and for all, before I consider a legal recourse. I believe they are purposely limiting something within the internet service, because I am paying for 200 mbps, and my speed will drop down to nothing multiple times each hour.

Chances are, if you already have Armstrong, you're stuck with them, so their Google review page is more of a therapy group than a warning to others. Maybe one day, we'll finally get a competitor in this area, and Armstrong won't have the luxury of treating their customers like garbage without...
