Dollar General — Local services in Lafayette

Disappointed to see the recent increase in prices across the board in the grocery section of the store. When Dollar Tree raised most of their prices to 1.25 ,DG corporate stated they had no intention of raising their core prices. Tyson Chicken has gone from 6 something to 10 and the DG brand frozen chicken from 5 something to 8. Candy and drinks are up 30 to 50 cents... Increases across most other grocery items. You can slide the new price stickers they put up over the old price stickers and see the huge, non economic-inspired-non supply chain increase....

Photos uploaded to prove I’m a customer. Not sure if corporate approves or not but the computer made non-professional signs for no public bathroom and no cash back is hilarious.

The main reason I stopped at Dollar General was to pay for a cheap padlock that I could’ve bought somewhere else for less money so that I could get $10 cashback to pay a buddy back.

When I asked the cashier Mary what’s going on with the cashback she stated that it’s a holiday.

I wasn’t aware that the Friday two days before Mother’s Day on Sunday...

I normally love Dollar General and have been to many over the years.The store in Romney lost all my business as they treated me terrible after I spent lots of money buying monthly needs.I was talked rudely to over the phone in person and Manager had to check the camera to see if I had even been there when I had made a large purchase and didnt get a sack that contained 13 of items.Treated like a criminal and crazy woman.Wont go back to this store but it was convenient.Poor management.I am 71yrs old and never been...
