Oak Ridge Country Store — Local services in LaFayette

We made a pit stop at the Oak Ridge Country Store, an Amish MEGA grocery store, in Cadiz, Kentucky today. What a find!

They had some ridiculously low prices on a few items, and a WIDE selection of hard to find items. All high quality from what we could tell. We picked up a 6.7 lb roll of pepper jack cheese for around $3/lb and some elderberry jelly. The next time I plan to be in Cadiz, Kentucky, I'm carving out an extra 3 hours to load UP on groceries and goodies!

Cash only! This Amish community does not take debit or credit cards. Worth an hour drive! Large selection of salvage and overstock perishables such as meat, cheese, and yogurt as well as pantry items. Enormous bags of flour, sugar, etc. Extremely kind cashier who explained the red stickers are regular items and green are salvage/overstock. Seasonal plant and vegetable sales across the gravel road. This is definitely the place to go if you want to save money on groceries. A super bonus is those hot awesome pretzels they serve on Saturday morning.
