The 4-Fairgrounds they have activities for your children to participate in when the 4-H Fair is there,they raise and take care of different kinds of animals like Rabbits,cows,pigs they get judged on the animals and win ribbons. They auction off the animals they raised. It teaches Them so much about the responsibility of raising an animal is all about! They have judgeing on home canned goods,home made pies and baked goods of all kinds. They have games to play and rides to ride things you can buy,and a petting zoo. What else is nice about the fairgrounds is the children can practice and have their baseball games on the baseball field that was built with a fence around it! LaGrange 4-H Fair is the best small town fair I know of. I spent every summer here growing up and continue to take my children now. They are still young, but are becoming involved and I can’t wait for them to be in actual 4-H. If you live in LaGrange County, get your kids involved in 4-H. It’s not just about the animals, I learned so much doing projects and posters for the Exhibit Building. The grounds themselves are great year around. Now if were are talking about the yearly fair week that is a bit different story. Fair week anymore is a bust. Not much going on, participant numbers are dwindling and so not many animals to see while there, food shacks can't get families to work so they aren't open much.
