1st off, thrilled to have a place like this in town! 2nd, nice store and staff interaction is perfect. 3rd- the paper cup they serve coffee in is exquisite. Absolutely beautiful considering it is disposable. Now, the room for improvement.... -menu on the wall is kind of useless. I may not be NYC sophisticated but I'm not ignorant either and I have no idea what any of your offerings actually are. prices are steep enough that sensible people are going to view a purchase here as a luxury. You need a couple of options to drive volume of sales i.e. good basic coffee I could buy every morning and not feel like I'm mortgaging my grandkids. while the menu is skewed toward elaborate desert-like concoctions with tons of cream and sugar, I chose your basic drip coffee. Presumably this is the foundation of your drinks. I found it bland. It wasn't weak per se but the roast is a bit light or perhaps a tad diluted. Whatever the reason, I prefer a bold, flavorful coffee, a little oily or viscous, strong but not acidic or bitter. Your coffee is just too mild and it definitely didn't stand up to the addition of cream. I wouldn't make this a habit at the current price nor would I recommend it as an exceptional cup of coffee. It's more an honest neutral brew unlikely to offend anyone but it's not going to delight anyone either, which would be the only way it would deserve the...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in here to get a coffee after visiting the market next door, we were visiting the State Park in the area. We ordered 2 large ice coffees which were about 16 oz a piece and close to $6 a piece. I though this was a little pricey for the size, considering both drinks were watered down and bland. As our drinks were being made I wandered over to the Studio connected to the shop. I had questions about a furniture piece, however the whole studio seemed to be a hang out for the girl working behind the counter and her friends I was never acknowledged and I did not feel comfortable breaking up their gathering. I also almost fell flat on my face due to a random cloth throw rug placed randomly in a walk way with no traction on it. As we were leaving my husband pointed out that that a male employee hanging around was not wearing a mask, which was mandatory for businesses at our time of visit. I guess our health and safety does not matter at this establishment, will...
Read moreI enjoy their coffee and will visit every time I see my parents, but today I stopped by and the person working came out from the back with no mask on and greeted me without one. She finally put it on to take my order and once I left I got in my car and saw she had it pulled down on her chin. There were other customers in the store at a table so she definitely wasn’t alone. I’m not sure how you can enforce masks but the employees don’t seem to wear them or wear them properly. I don’t normally leave reviews or ever really complain but it’s a safety risk for customers...
