Brown's Neighborhood Market — Local services in Lake Charles

Deli's pretty good. Everything else is like going to the "bad" Walmart, except with ridiculously high prices and terrible Christian rock playing over the loud speakers.

Avoid if possible, unfortunately they got the market cornered in Cameron Parish, so if you're at a Brown's... It's most likely cause ya just didn't feel like driving 15 more minutes to Walmart.

That 15 minutes is worth it, especially if it means never having to hear a Christian rock parody of "Love Shack" that's so bad it might actually make you start...

We got fried chicken and sides from the deli this time around for a pool party. The food was delicious. This is a nice store to go to that’s in the middle of nowhere. If you live near here, it’s an excellent alternative to a 20-30-minute ride into Lake Charles. It’s easy to get into and out of and the people there are excellent. They have a deli, alcohol and a meat market, so you won’t miss out...

Rated a 3 because it’s a good store! My problem is if the deli closes at 2pm, why is it shutdown before that time? Back in the day I remember getting out of school & still had time to go get food. I guess I have to make it there at 9-10am...
