(Continued)
I wouldn't recommend this place to my dog. I actually thought I'd found a good spot. She was initially nice, friendly. But the moment a customer – an irate customer, mind you, because of her lack of communication – became upset, she completely lost it. I was willing to pay half, for half the work she did. But no. I ended up paying the whole fifty dollars, just to get out of there, just to make her stop. My daughter ended up at Gloss Nail Bar, getting the job done correctly, the way it should have been done from the start.
If the communication had been there, from the very beginning, if she had just said, "We don't do acrylics, this will look different," this entire situation would have been avoided. I wasn't even given the chance to say YES or NO!
And let me tell you something: I went to cosmetology school. I manage my own hair salon. I know the protocols. I know about client consent, especially when a minor is involved. The owner, instead of backing her awful tech, should have asked, "Did you get her permission to proceed? Did you tell her we don't do acrylics?" That’s leadership. That’s accountability. And it's what was completely missing here. A team is only as good as its leader.
She claimed a minor told her it was okay. A MINOR! When she could have simply asked my daughter to get me from the car. Simple as that! And if you watched your cameras, as you claimed, you would have seen me sitting inside for thirty minutes. You would have seen me outside, five feet away. You did NOT inform me then about your lack of acrylics. How are you doing a refill on acrylic with builder gel? Make it make sense! You don’t do what you want to people’s nails without adult consent.
I never said we weren't paying. I wanted the service. I wanted the problem fixed. And I never left my minor child alone! Your parking lot is right there! It was nighttime! Don't act like you didn't see me! I never moved my vehicle. Your nail tech locked the door while I waited for the other girl to finish her nails. I was never gone. Stop with the lies. You are only making yourself look worse. Because a POLICE was involved. With a paying customer. PERIOD. I came to support your fraudulent business, and all I got was disrespect and lies.
So tell the truth. Stop lying. It’s okay. Because God is real. And you will not get away with treating people like this for long. I paid forty-five dollars for absolutely nothing. I hope you’re satisfied. I truly...

You guys usually text with a confirmation about the appointment and I never received one. So I didn’t show… I didn’t know if it was okay to still come. So it was still some miscommunication because I got no confirmation. Not a text or email confirmation 🤷🏽‍♀️
I’ve been hesitant making this review, but the first time I went was for my birthday and it was late around that time which is cool. I booked a 5pm appointment. And I originally booked it with the owner but got switched out for the newest tech at the time. Everything was going fine up until it was time to do the nail art. I showed her my “Inspo picture” and her demeanor just seemed to change and I later found out that she doesn’t like when her clients show her inspo pictures cause she likes to freestyle, whatever okay I guess. But I just didn’t like the way she said it and it seemed like she was getting frustrated so I just told her to freestyle. The nails came out okay but it was whatever. The next time I went back was for a fill. I got the fill everything was good. Veronica did my fill then Kyla I believe was her name(she’s so funny) finished my nails. A nail popped off the day after I get them done. I work with water a lot and I soon found out that I might need to try builder gel instead of the soft gel okay cool. I went to get my nail repaired and it was fine. Then another 2 days went and 2 more nails broke. I called to try to come in same day but I couldn’t. I scheduled for the next day. I was supposed to go in the next day but Veronica the owner texted me asking me to come in a different day. I told her that I could and just for the removal. I didn’t go to the appointment I had scheduled that day because she said come a different day. It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve heard anything from Veronica or the store. I just feel like they could’ve reached back out to me to make sure everything was okay with my nails. They seemed to care about my nail health but who am I really to judge when they haven’t reached back out to me.
Below is the message from Veronica and my first...
Read moreI went to this place for the first time last Friday for gel-x. The work was decent at first. However, by the following Monday, the gel polish on one nail started chipping then I noticed 6 of my nails started lifting near the cuticles. I called to see when I can come in for repair. The lady I spoke with said I can come in within 7 days of my original service for repair. I tried to go in today (Wednesday). Got all the way there (this place is about 40 mins from me) just see they have a sign on the door saying they are closed for Yom Kippur. The lady I spoke with did not mention they'd be closed for holiday today. The shop is too out the way for me to keep trying to go down there for nail repair. I have also never had gel-x peel and lift like this ever in the time I've been getting gel-x, so it doesn't seem the quality was really that good. The people that worked there were nice...
