I follow a YouTube channel in which the creator raves about McKenzie farms so I decided to place an order; actually two. I was a little disappointed that I could not order online but I looked over his selection and sent an email. He responded the next day to my vast and varied questions. I placed my first order, via phone, for a Ten Degree Tangerine. Shortly thereafter I reached out again and ordered a Pineapple Guava tree. Stan sent tracking information the same day and they both arrived fast and in great condition. I decided to follow McKenzie Farms Facebook page which is a bad idea for a plant enthusiast like myself 😂. Stan had posted a buy 1 get 2 free fruit trees sale; pick up only. After contemplating for 10 minutes I decided to make the almost 4 hour drive to Scranton, SC. My only disappointment was that I arrived at his lunch time and one of his workers informed me he had gone home to grab a bite to eat. I had to wait to make my purchase but I browsed the selection; which was amazing. I began sitting my selections aside. My intent was to only get 3 trees from the sale selection. Well, I ended up purchasing 5; 2 not in sale but very very reasonably priced. I paid less for 5 trees than I would have for 1 1/4 trees from another vendor; before shipping costs. I purchased 3 fig trees (Celeste, Black Mission and LSU Purple), a Ruby Red grapefruit and an Owari Satsuma. All of the trees are very healthy and the Ruby Red is already fruiting. I am very pleased. I didn’t get the full tour because Stan was assisting me as well as dealing with a shipment of trees that his worker was unloading. His worker was very friendly and answered my questions as he worked. Another worker drove into the lot later and waved like he knew me. I pondered if we had met before. Nope! It was just good old fashioned southern hospitality. Everyone was super friendly. It was 81 degrees there, in March, and I had dressed for cooler weather wearing black jeans that absorbed all of that sun so I was ready to get back on the road, to cooler temps, after being in that Deep South heat. I’ll definitely be making the road trip again and I’ll be dressed appropriately next time.

Visited McKenzie Farms to pick up a Lemon Meyer Citrus & Pomegranate Tree. Took the drive from Charlotte to Scranton, SC on my way to hiking at Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge. Stan, the owner was super cool and helpful. Had a variety of fruit trees, bushes and other items. It’s a good drive from Charlotte but worth the ride for hard to find, healthy plants at reasonable prices. Nice, welcoming, family friendly small plant nursery.

Stopped by and picked up two babies (citrus trees). Talked with Stan for 20 minutes on different varieties he carries. He grows a wide variety of colder hardy plants. Walked through his satsuma greenhouse area. Will be swinging through later this year to grab some of the watermelon he is just planting.

Title: An Unforgettable Citrus Adventure at Stan's Nursery!

Review: Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

My family and I recently had the pleasure of purchasing citrus fruit trees from McKenzie Farm, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! Stan, the owner, showcased an unparalleled passion for citrus trees, and his expertise and dedication shone through in every aspect of my visit. Upon entering the nursery, I was greeted warmly by Stan himself, who was more than happy to guide me through the vast array of citrus fruit trees available. His knowledge about different varieties, their care requirements, and their potential yield was truly impressive. Stan patiently answered all my questions, offering valuable insights and recommendations that helped me make informed choices. Definitely will be...

After hearing about Mckenzie farms I wanted to check it out for myself. I drove just over 3 hours on a Saturday morning to check it out. It was everything I hoped it was. As a citrus lover in a climate where it needs protection I wanted to meet the legend himself, Stan Mckenzie. Stan was busy that day with 2 different customers with large orders. Even though he was filling orders much larger than mine, he still managed to help me find everything I needed and give me a personal tour of his own citrus farm. He said "anyone who drove 3 hours to see me gets the full experience". He cracked jokes and told a couple of stories. He was intersted in how i became fond of citrus and asked me questions about my life. Yesterday, I carried home 6 trees and a smile on my face when I left. This place is more than...
