D-Bat is next level for bating cages, both for baseball and softball. Store is well stocked, clean and all staff are extremely polite and helpful. I stopped in on Christmas Eve with my 10 year old son. Matt the store owner was awesome, very kind and helped answer all our questions. He helped us measure bats that fit my son and watched him hit various weight and sized bats to see what my son swung the best and was most comfortable. We found a great bat, and are very happy and confident with the new bat we were able to test and purchase, this is the way to go! After my son was squared away, I was able to hit some slow pitch softballs to knock off some of my old man rust. You are able to use your actual in game softball bats as you are hitting actual softballs, not the typical hard plastic dimple balls at other cages that can cause unwanted wear and tear on expensive softball bats. We live in Roseville and D-Bat is well worth the drive to Lake Elmo. Top notch facility, everything is clean and works great. Now that D-Bat has been open for over two years I feel we can give it a proper review. Staff—hands down the most responsive, genuine people I have ever met working at batting cage.We’ve gotten a handful of lessons for a children and every instructor has been absolutely wonderful! Facility—beautiful! Sure, we’d all love more space since the community is so athletically driven, but this place was long overdue and we’re extremely grateful for its presence. Machines—while there is pitch location and speed variability…same thing happens in a game and I have no doubt the staff would take care of us if we felt we didn’t get adequate sessions in. Coach Mitchell is phenomenal. My son is on the spectrum. Baseball is his passion. Sometimes one little thing out of place is a big deal and recovering to continue through a meltdown is a challenge, and not a skill we’ve mastered yet. Mitchell’s patience and understanding is above and beyond what anyone could ask for. His calm, focused presence brought my kiddo out of a meltdown and allowed him to continue on with his lesson. That’s not something he experiences with many people outside of the family yet Mitchell has created that connection with him. And that is just speaking to Mitchell’s demeanor.
