Not a family friendly place. We had a Mother’s day celebration next door (awesome spot) and came here just to change venues. Our group was split for a while and I just kept hearing from my wife the hoops she was having to jump through to even be served. First interaction was that she wasn’t allowed to sit down at a table outside unless she ordered food. A weird rule. Also all of the front outside tables were empty and remained empty during the entire time we were there. The reason was given to my wife that they were trying to keep tables open for other guests… We did have a couple toddlers that were excited to see each other and could be annoying so we were attempting to sit outside by the front where no one was… but that was blocked by staff. Then we were seated inside and I kept noticing glares by the kitchen staff at the window and by the ladies behind the drink counter. At one point my son had something on his face and since the bathroom was occupied and another person was in line I asked if there was any water hose outside just to be quick about it. At the drink counter I received the high school stink eye stare from the eldest of the ladies working there. Finally when we were leaving; (both toddlers were already out the door) a server came up to our table and started complaining to my wife about how our kids were loud and that they couldn’t keep on acting like kids. My wife has started a school for children and is the sweetest and most patient being I have ever met started telling me how they were going to check the cameras and prove that we were horrible. Bottom line there are good and bad things about little towns like Silverado and this is one of the bad things. Good water though if they don’t decide...
Read moreAfter a long and invigorating hike to the Black Star Canyon Falls, we stopped in for a much-needed lunch. We were delighted to find this charming spot that served delicious, refreshing, and filling meals. My friend opted for the Bock-Bock Sandwich, a delectable egg salad creation that exceeded expectations. I chose the Italian meat and cheese sandwich, although the clever name escapes me, it was equally tasty and generously portioned.
Both sandwiches were accompanied by a fruit salad that tasted as if the fruits were freshly plucked from the garden. Each bite was a burst of fresh, natural sweetness, perfectly complementing our hearty sandwiches.
To cool down from the intense afternoon heat, we sipped on blueberry-green tea iced tea. The drink was perfect for the occasion, with a floral and fruity essence that was both refreshing and rejuvenating. The blend of blueberry's sweet and slightly tangy notes combined with the subtle, aromatic green tea created a harmonious and delightful beverage.
Despite the high temperatures, we chose to sit outside on the patio since we had our dogs with us. The shaded creekside seating provided a beautiful view, enhancing our dining experience with its serene and picturesque surroundings. It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy our meal...
Read moreVery inviting outdoor patio next to a stream. Breakfast was great. Positives: 1). The quality of the ingredients. Bacon and sausage were butcher quality. Even the toast was deli quality. 2). Side of fresh fruit came with breakfast. 3). Nice outdoor seating area next to stream. 4). Very friendly employees. Only 2 negatives: Not a big deal. 1). Coffee served in paper cups. Fine if we were taking it to go. 2). Self-serve water container. Will be back for lunch and try a...
