UPDATED REVIEW: Still 5 stars, would add more if I could. I was in the BEST shape of my life headed into this quarantine. Down 40 pounds and I had MUSCLES!!! Well, guess what?
Still down 40 pounds and have MORE muscles two months into this Stay At Home order. Why? Because of The Loop. I've got my Zoom classes online, Happy Hours, Coaches checking in with me, Coaches who answer any question I have via text, email, or DM on Facebook. This place has changed my life and continues to change it daily. These coaches CARE. I messed up my back running last month and they modified each workout I showed up for - I didn't even have to ask, they were just on it right before we would start the WOD. "Jennie? Back still sore? Okay, don't do (this), I'm going to have you do (this) instead. For (this), we will sub (this)." I cannot say enough about this gym or these people.
Safety first and this gym is all about it. They're itching to have us back, but they are being 100% creative to meet everyone's needs in the meantime. Call them. Join US! It will be the best decision of your life.
I just moved to the area and I wasn't just looking for a gym, I wanted a family. It's what I left behind in my hike club when I moved up here from Los Angeles. My friends are all about CrossFit and I'd been wanting to try it but it's really intimidating from the outside. I checked out a few places, but when I walked in The Loop, I knew I was 'home.' Everyone was so friendly, so welcoming.
Those first 5 one-on-ones with Mitch were crucial - for both of us. He needed to know where my fitness level was at and I needed a little boost of confidence. Come for the workouts, stay for the hi-fives. I'm so excited to be a part of this community and to grow. If you're thinking about trying it, call The Loop. You've got nothing to lose. There are no heavy sell jobs here. You're not pressured into anything. Don't be scared to take that first step.    Read moreI've been working out at this gym for a few years now and have always had a great experience. The coaches are knowledgeable and treat you with the utmost respect. They push you to better yourself, while also respecting your personal limits. Need help with something? The coaches will answer any questions you have or tweak any workout routine to fit your needs.
Their first rule is no injuries and they live by that rule by teaching proper technique and giving you ample warm-up/stretch time. I had a knee injury from sports and they were able to accommodate me so that I could heal as well as stay in my routine. If you have a physical impairment they can modify any workout to make sure you get the most out of it.
In addition to my fitness membership, I've also recently enrolled in their nutrition program. I've learned so much about food and how it affects the body. If that's not enough I've lost 25 lbs. One thing I've always struggled with was keeping the weight off after losing it. It's the number one reason I signed up for the nutrition program and I'm 100% confident that this time I'll have the knowledge and know-how to keep the weight off once I've reached my weight-loss goal.
This summer I was able to participate in a Spartan Sprint and am training for a Spartan Beast in September. Until now I would have never dreamed of participating in races like these, but with The Loop's training I feel confident that I can conquer them. One of the first things that stood out to me was the ambassador program. As a new member, I was paired with someone more seasoned who helped me get familiar with the gym, making the transition into a new place much less nerve-racking. It had been a long time since Iâd been in a CrossFit gym, so having someone help me get re-familiarized was great. On top of that, Mitch and the staff frequently check in to make sure Iâm getting the most out of my membership.
The communication at The Loop is also top-notch. They regularly send out newsletters and social media updates, making it easy to stay engaged and informed. The gym also provides a useful app that does a great job with scheduling, includes social features, and even lets you see the WOD and who will be in your class.
Another thoughtful touch was the swag pack I received when I joined, which made me feel even more welcomed. All this to say, I was impressed by how well things seem to operate.
Beyond the community and organization, the quality of coaching and programming at The Loop is fantastic. The coaches are knowledgeable, attentive, and push you to improve while ensuring you move safely.
