From USDA Food Product Dating Web Page:
"There are no uniform or universally accepted descriptions used on food labels for open dating in the United States. As a result, there are a wide variety of phrases used on labels to describe quality dates.
Examples of commonly used phrases: -A "Best if Used By/Before" date indicates when a product will be of best flavor or quality. It is not a purchase or safety date. -A "Sell-By" date tells the store how long to display the product for sale for inventory management. It is not a safety date. -A “Use-By" date is the last date recommended for the use of the product while at peak quality. It is not a safety date except for when used on infant formula as described below. -A “Freeze-By” date indicates when a product should be frozen to maintain peak quality. It is not a purchase or safety date.
Except for infant formula, product dating is not required by Federal regulations.

Read moreMost all of the employees are great, there’s one lady that has had an attitude one more than 1 occasion. When I looked at the screen to see how prices were rang up, she challenged me aggressively, “What’s wrong”, I explained that she rang up items the wrong price, I proceeded to explain to her the pricing, and she had an attitude and said she didn’t make the prices. When I spoke to the manager, she proceeded to tell me that some price tags are from the retail stores. I tried to explain, A can of ”Pringles has a $.99 price on it, and they charged me $1.19. She again stated that some stickers are from the retail stores. I tried to explain to her that a retail price would be higher than their price. She didn’t get it. If the retail store was selling it for $.99, why in the heck would I be willing to pay $1.19 here???? Be careful!!! When they first opened, prices were great, they have increased dramatically. Gatorade cases are $13.99, and if you look at Winn Dixie and Publix, they often go buy 2 get 1 free, so there is no deal here. now you have to look for deals on some products, and then watch the scanning, more than once it has rung up wrong. Then be careful when you challenge them, you’ll get hit with attitude. It’s a shame there aren’t other places like this, that don’t get greedy and start bucking the prices slowly but surely, and now you’re not getting much of a deal if you plan and buy BOGO’s at other stores, and it will be...
