Walked in Habitat for Humanity Store the first time this afternoon ( made it 13 minutes before "closing"). I was referred by my friend who told me how they have a good deal on small household appliances and light fixtures for my dining room and kitchen.
They close at 5 PM. I. Walked in at 4:47 and the two older women behind the counter yelled out at me "um mam'm we are closing in ten minutes" Then I thought to myself, that is no way to "greet" anyone. I didn't turn to them or acknowledge them because they addressed me rudely.
Then is when it really got intentionally rude and unbelievable. I went in to simply look at what all they had. Every minute or two I would hear them yell out and even this younger women who started to chime in " you have 9 minutes" then a minute (or less later) "you have 8 minutes" and so it went every minute (or less) while I was quickly walking around to see what all the store simply just had and sold.
As every minute (or less) progressed they would continue to yell out at me which was extremely rude, lacking of any customer service skills, or any other type of being polite in general.
I walked out of the store 4 minutes till "CLOSING" and as I was a few steps away from the door clearly leaving one of the women said "Oh thank God she is leaving" intentionally loud enough for me to hear her.
Now I sit in the parking lot at 5:07 byside myself thinking how much these people must dislike their job working here because they could not wait to leave and get out of this place as early as they must have planned on leaving early. It is now 5:08 all the employees have been gone for 6 minutes as I watched them run out the door and talk in the parking lot after they locked the door 2 minutes early.
These people need to take a Basic customer service course on how to treat and simply talk to people who walk in...
Read moreNeeded some drywall anchors so I figured I'd come to the habitat store instead of going to a big box retailer. The store is extremely messy in comparison to what it used to be a couple of years ago nothing is in the correct spot. I looked and looked for at least 20 minutes for some drywall anchors and was told that the only anchors that they sell are in bundles of miscellaneous screw and nail boxrs. I explain that I only needed literally six drywall anchors and asked if there was any way they could do a better price on One of the containers that had a lot of anchors in it or if they could open the package and get out maybe 10 or 20 anchors and I'd buy a package of 10 or 20. They were extremely unaccommodating and rude and told me "no that's the price that's on it". I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and the lady said "you don't need to". So I left. This is not the same habitat store it used to be a couple of years ago. Everything is super expensive, they were asking $12 for a basic size storage tote that was broken on the side, $6 a piece for cabinet drawer pulls USED, $400+ for exterior doors that were very much used. I won't waste my time here again... I guess I will be on my way to a big box retailer for my...
Read moreWill never donate to them again. I was donating dressers, end tables, night stands, dining room table with 4 chairs and barstools to match plus kitchen items. So before they had it all loaded up in their truck they decided they had another pick up to go to and they'd have to reschedule to get the rest of my items which was leaving stuff they took out of my home in my front yard. So I called their office and asked why they are leaving stuff they took out of my house in my front yard and would have to reschedule, their manager said she'd call them and ask the pick up guys and they had the audacity to lie and say it was stuff they couldn't sale after they took it out of my house. Plus the manager asked if I could load it up in my truck and bring it to them they'd appreciate it. And after our dispute they asked me for 5 dollars gas money. So after reading these reviews and hearing about what they are charging for this furniture I'm in shock. I thought they gave to...
