Zygomatics; 1 yr later. I had my zygomatic implants (upper) along with the lower (traditional implants) for total mouth restoration done a year ago on March 13 2024. This is my one year update. Without hesitation, I can tell you that this was the best decision I ever made regarding my dental health. I just wish I knew about them years ago. I have watched people with full sets of dentures for years and their teeth flop around and they look old. I didnāt want that. And with my zygos, I donāt. have that. My journey over the past year has been smooth and pain free. What do you get when you get Zygomatics? You get your smile back. You get your confidence back. . You get your ability to taste back. You get the ability to chew anything you want back. You can bite an apple again. You can eat corn on the cob again. You can chew steak again. You get your life back. no more adhesive, no more sore spots. For those of you contemplating this procedure, donāt wait. You will not regret it. I will restate what I said a year ago right after the procedure: āI can tell you as a person who has hated dentists my entire life ( and all the pain, trauma, sounds and smells) that comes with them, I am so happy that I got this procedure. I personally recommend New Teeth Now, Dr. Richards and his staff. ā
Best dental experience in my life ( I am 65 yr old male) I grew up in the 60ās and 70ās. The dentists I encounters from a young age all seemed to have attended the Marquis de Sade School of Dentistry. I was scarred for life. For the rest of my life I avoided a dentist at all costs. I spent three years in combat in Afghanistan and a year in combat in Iraq; I would rather do a patrol down Route Irish from BIAP to the Green zone that sit in a dentist chair. White knuckles and cold sweats were the norm for me going to a dentist. I did explore getting zygos done in NY. I was informed that they would do a nasal lift, bone grafts, etc. and the entire process would take 18-24 months. And I wouldnāt have new teeth for almost 18 months. Then I contacted New Teeth Now. Krystal was very helpful and patient with my never-ending questions. Anything I asked about was answered in a timely manner, in detail and in laymanās terms so I could understand what was being talked about The initial visit was an eye opener. Dr. Richards spent more than n hour going over my surgery in great detail utilizing the large screen TV and had my CT scan up to see. Dr. Richards measured and drew out where everything was going on screen and explained the process and all that he would do. There was no rush. I was surprised how much time Dr. Richards spent with me. Dr. Sorrento, the Prostodontist; Another fantastic Dr. He spent so much time with me, photographing my existing teeth and mouth from every angle, discussing size, color, and other characteristics. never any rush. The surgery was smooth as can be. 4 hours later I was in recovery. I then went back to my hotel by 4PM. There literally was no pain. No exaggeration. Ibuprofen was all I took for a few days because they advised that I do that. There was tenderness in the mouth where sutures were emplaced on the gum line. There was pressure in the face from swelling but no pain. Numbness in the cheeks and nose are. Bruising came the next two days. Buy some sunglasses if you donāt have any. The bruising lasted for a while but after about 5 days started to recede. Every time I had contact with Dr. Richards or his staff, I was treated like I was the only patient they had. I couldnāt be more satisfied with the service, professionalism and compassion they all exhibited. 5 weeks after surgery and my stitches are gone, swelling is gone, bruising is gone. No issues at all. Lots of compliments from family and friends who knew I was getting the procedure. Perfect outcome. I can tell you as a person who has hated dentists my entire life ( and all the pain, trauma, sounds and smells) that comes with them, I am so happy that I got this procedure. I personally recommend New Teeth Now, Dr. Richards...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt 58, I had been fighting genetic periodontal disease since I was 20. I went to a new periodontist who said the most difficult words to me, that being I should give up the fight and have all my teeth pulled while I still had bone and options. I didn't have to do it, but it was highly recommended. I fought that day all my life. In the beginning, Dr. Richards and his staff were beyond patient with me and the bombardment of questions I had for them. Dr. Richards even called my personally one day, AND had a prior patient call who was willing to talk to me and help alleviate my concerns. I absolutely was not going to do this until I investigated every aspect, calling all over the country, Mexico, etc. for other places. Well the more I talked to others the more sold I was on NTN. My biggest concern was that I couldn't get a good answer on how were they going to feel. Not even on the internet. That I wanted to know most desperately. I was dissatisfied it was hard to get a good answer on that, thought they did try to help. So I held off writing this review till I got the permanents. So I will help those seeking answers regarding that. The temporaries? I always knew they were there. That bothered me. Made me even sad and discouraged. And, of course, letting them heal and not chew not fun. But big plus and surprise it never felt like my teeth were pulled. But I've had the permanents for a week now and the material feels so much more like real teeth. Now, for the most part, I don't even notice them. And what I do feel feels SO much better than what I had before with my bad teeth. I would have halitosis, food stuck between my teeth when I ate, bad caps and bridges, and loosening of my teeth, making me unable to bite into things. I had not been able to bite into an apple since 16. I can't believe it. Now I can. And my teeth now feel solid, strong, good. Best of all, I think they look real. I had "horse teeth" caps before. They made me smaller teeth. And one word of advice. I had only known one person that had gotten NTN before, and she got bright white perfectly aligned teeth and I told them when she talks or smiles, to me it was completely obvious her teeth were fake. And I really didn't want a life of that, people always looking at my fake teeth. They told me it didn't have to be that way. And showed me patients that had put coloring in there teeth, bent some teeth just slightly, made small imperfections that, as a result, made the teeth look natural. I met one patient that had that done and even knowing he had NTN I didn't believe it. His teeth looked totally real. Well I think so do mine! I had horrible big teeth caps and bridges. Issues everywhere. I've always been envious of people with good teeth. Now, I'm one of them and know what it feels like. And it feels GREAT! I bit into a hoagie this weekend and it felt so amazing I wasn't worried about doing it. In summary, love the staff. love the teeth. It took me to completion to get there but now my only thought is why, why, why didn't I do this 20 -40 years ago where I could have lived my whole adult life with a beautiful smile, strong teeth, and a healthy mouth. The 1000's I spent on deep cleanings, gum surgeries, caps, crowns, bridges such a waste. I always knew the issues with my teeth were never going to be curable, just getting worse all the time. If that is you do this NOW. Don't spend another penny trying to maintain teeth that you know one day are going to have to go anyway. I could not be more satisfied with NTN, their staff, and what they have done for me. In two weeks my friends are having an "Apple Biting" party for me, something I've not been able to do since I was a teen. Amazing. I was always envious of people with beautiful strong teeth wondering what that felt like. Now I know. All thanks to NTN. To them I owe a big thanks. I can not thank them enough for all their patience with me, and getting me to where I am now - happy with my new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI received my permanent implants this week and I am thrilled. I checked out three prosthodontists and New Teeth Now blew the other two out of the water. From the initial consultation through the pre and post surgery, I was respected and taken care of not only by the two dentists but also the three dental assistants who hovered over me together to address whatever the plan was for that visit.
Dr. Lee and Dr. Tawil each spent at least 25-30 minutes with me during the initial consultation explaining their roles and answering my questions. I was so pleased that I made the decision that day to go with them for my surgery. Dr Lee is the oral surgeon, very easy to talk to and making himself available by text during the following week after surgery. This was a blessing for me because at 78 years old, this was my first surgery ever, and not knowing what to expect, I had a lot of questions and needed a lot of help.
Dr Tawil designs the implants and he did two things which told me he is a perfectionist. The original plan was to just address the upper teeth as these were the most critical. A week before the surgery I had a toothache on one of my lower teeth and I experienced some pain in the lower gums as well. Dr Tawil sent through a prescription for me. A little while later the office called asking me in a very polite way, "If you don't mind, Dr Tawil would like you to come in next Monday to see what is going on with your lower teeth." I was elated. He didn't just prescribe something and throw me to the wolves. Sadly, this attitude and behavior is prevalent in our medical society today. The day after the surgery I came back so the two dentists could see how I was doing. The first thing the dental assistant said to me was that Dr Tawil had made another implant for my lower teeth. I suspected he thought he could do better. Wouldn't you say this is exemplary?
I chose dental implants because all my life I never got a good report visiting a dentist. I got my first crown at age 13 and over the years I suffered through many root canals, infections, broken crowns, broken bridges and cracked teeth as I got older. With implants I would never experience those things again. Therefore, my main purpose for the implants was really for medical reasons and not just cosmetics. However, with my new teeth I continue to get so many compliments on my smile and some people even say I look 20 years younger. Thank you, New Teeth Now, for making my first...
