Update February 2018: American Express investigated my case and they got all 100% money back to me from this corrupt company.
Warning: If you finally and miraculously receive your parts, and install them, they will not give you a refund if it doesnât work or parts are defective. They will say 1/2 money back (since you used it) and pay for shipping to send it back (they wonât send return shipping labels).
2 months ago I ordered t style steering kit steering box brace steering damper and track bar (almost $2k with shipping) for my 2001 dodge diesel. After waiting about a month I finally received only the steering box brace. I called them and asked where the rest of the parts were and they told me that they still had to power coat them. Everytime I call and ask where my parts are, they say "Sorry we had a couple guys call in sick so we are going to be a little slow." Or, "Our equipment broke down so that's why we are slow getting parts to you." Or, "Yeah we are welding that up today and should get that sent out to you today or tomorrow." Well today or tomorrow never comes.
Anyway, I thought I might just have the patience of Job and wait so I installed the steering box brace. There are typos on the instructions, wrong bolt sizes that didn't match what the directions said but other than that, pretty simple install. Had all the hardware so I was able to install it.
Took it for a test drive and the brace made my front end shake when I went 10-30 mph. Uninstalled the brace and the shaking went away. I called them about it and they said I could return it but I could only get $100 back instead of a full refund since I used it for .5 mile to see if it worked.
So I decided to cancel. They told me that I would not receive a full refund I was like whatever. After a few days I called them to see if they could just switch out the brace with a new one that's not defective and they said yeah great idea but you have to pay shipping to send back the defective brace.
Long story short, 2 months later and I have today a defective steering box brace, steering kit and track bar. The steering damper still hasn't shipped from Fox. Dodge Off Road says they have had nothing but issues and delays dealing with Fox. Kind of hard to believe.
I am afraid if I install the parts that came and they make me crash or the parts are defective, they will say âSince you used them, you can only get 1/2 of money back and you also have to pay for shipping to send everything back.â
The funny thing and most incredible thing is that is what they really did say.
So this is where it gets hillarious and hopefully the time I'm spending to write this will help someone in the future. Anyway, I called them to cancel yesterday and so they email me back today "Nope we are not canceling your order."
They said they have a 30 day return policy and since the brace and steering kit parts shipped 'before' that 30 days I can't return any parts. The parts didn't even show up to my house until after the 30 days. (The brace did show up before the thirty days but was defectively anyway.)
That right there is the most unbelievable part. People, I didn't receive 3/4 of my parts until after the 30 days. So basically they start counting the 30 days the day you order so it's nothing less than impossible to return anything.
American Express is in the process of helping me obtain justice in getting my money back. Dodge Off Road won't send me shipping labels to send everything back. Now they are saying if you want to return it you pay for shipping. I already paid more than $200 dollars for shipping parts that are defective and also for a steering damper from Fox that still hasn't shipped.
With all the time you spend waiting on their machine to get working again and waiting for staff to start working (2 months), it is definitely a waste of time. Never ever will I do business with this 2 employee 1...
   Read moreDanny,
I am having several issues with a current order that was placed on 24 October 2017. My order consisted of the DOR Heavy Duty bolt in steering kit, track bar/drop bracket and DOR sway bar end links. I have had communication issues with Chris from day 1. I have just received a partial order that was supposed to be a complete order. I am satisfied with the quality of the tie rod and drag link I have received so far. However, I am not so sure it is the correct size and it could pose a potential safety risk. Please contact me and I will gladly elaborate further. I currently have other items in âweldingâ status and I am not so sure they are correct either.
Please contact me :
My order numbers are AB â 7439 and AB - 7577
Thank you for looking into this
Alex
Update Its now 1 Dec 2017. Its officially been 38 days since i paid for my order. I still have not received all the items i ordered. John responded to my email today in regards to the parts I havenât received yet and the concern I had about the drag link not being long enough. Long story short, he apologized for the delay and assured me the drag link is of proper length and Iâll have the remainder of my parts soon.
Update Itâs now 16 Dec 2017. Itâs now been 53 days since I initially paid for my order. I still have not received my other parts... After sending DOR several pictures and measurements of the drag link they sent, John finally confirmed it was to short. Luckily i didnât find out the hard way driving 70mph. I still have not heard from the owner(Danny). As you can imagine my extreme frustration, Iâm back to square one.
Update Itâs now 27 Dec 2017. The correct size drag link was delivered today. Quality looks as it should and it bolted right up. The second steering stabilizer clamp was also delivered today. The clamp is not the same size or quality as the first one. Itâs definitely not powdercoated or engraved like the first clamp. Iâm still waiting on my other parts and now a replacement for the clamp I just received.
Update Itâs now 9 January 2018. I received my track bar and track bar drop bracket today. The track bar doesnât fit into the drop bracket, it has the wrong size Johnny Joint and heim joint. The track bar did not come with a grease fitting as illustrated on their website. The drop bracket has a wrong size nut barely hanging on, it wouldnât even complete one full turn. Iâm still waiting on my steering sway bar linkage, stabilizer clamp and correct hardware for the parts I received today.
Update Itâs now 17 January 2018. I received the steering sway bar linkage and the correct hardware today. However, the track bar drop bracket did not fit as instructed. The bends in the metal they created to fit forward of the factory drop bracket were off by 3/4â hindering the possibility of using the pre drilled holes and hardware supplied. I spent 6 hours modifying their bracket, it still doesnât fit as instructed. At this point, Iâll deal with it. My next biggest issue is the drag link and steering stabilizer clamp I received on 27 December 2017. More than 80% of the paint has fallen off the drag link in 3 weeks time. Lastly, John has instructed ME to pay for return shipping of the cheap knockoff clamp he sent me. Once again, I sent John several pictures of the horrible paint job on the drag link and the not as advertised clamp. Awaiting their response.
Update 17 January 2018
Below is DORâs response to the horrible paint job on my $800 steering set up.
I apologize for the powder coat. But, we do powder coat free for our customers so there is no warranty on...
Read moreTo start off... I began trying to get information from DOR LLC 3 weeks ago in regards to their rear suspension arms, and panhard rod (track bar) for a 2014 Ram 1500... Once finally getting with someone via phone on Wednesday evening 9/27, as Facebook messages and emails went unanswered prior. After making a decision and speaking with them on the phone letting them know I would need all products by Friday 10/13 for vacation scheduled on the week of 10/16 for install. They checked inventory and told me they would need to build the bars, and would drop ship the Currie Johnny Joints directly to me. That the 10/13 deadline shouldn't be an issue.
So time passes, I email and FB Message them to ask if they carry the Johnny Joint disassembly tool as I need to disassemble the joints to have the outter housing powdercoated Monday the 16th with the bars. They informed me they did not carry that tool. So I ordered a tool directly from Currie and received it already. Today (10/10/17) I received the bars, but still do not have my Johnny Joints. I emailed DOR LLC on Sunday asking for an update on the drop shipment, and no response to my email (keep in mind I have FB Messaged them, and Emailed them without reply in the past to clarify I did receive responses after phone contact was made in the past but not in regards to the update on my drop shipment) I chose this message thinking they are a small operation and didn't need to hassle them with a petty question that it could be answered offline, or after hours via email, since we live in a digital word right?
I called and spoke with Jordan, and was pretty much just told "Oh well, sorry for your luck. You can still have the bars coated atleast. Only to find out that their supplier for the drop shipments in Cali is over a week behind and haven't processed orders from last week (Guess I know why a reply to my email sent asking for an update wasn't made yet). Placing all of the blame onto the supplier. Had I known this Monday I could've ordered joints directly from Currie and had them here in time to keep the project on a timeline, but again I had to reach out 3 days after sending the email for an update.
I really wish they would have done the right thing and allowed me to return the joints to them, and ordered me joint from Currie directly with expedited freight to arrive by Friday 10/13. Nothing of the sort mentioned. Instead I was met with how they shouldn't even be powdercoated to begin with.
All in all, the bars appear to be of quality and will be used. I'm happy with the quality of the product, just not with the quality of Customer Service and making things right with DOR LLC..
Buyer beware, if you have a 3 week deadline, cross your T's and dot your I's when ordering. Had I even had the option to just buy the bars and supply my own joints I would've the moment I heard the word(s) supplier, or drop ship. đ„
Update... as of 8:13pm CST Danny Gaston the owner wrote me an email informing me He has cancelled the drop shipment of my Johnny Joints that were being delivered on Thursday 10/12 and wants his product back. Now 1, why would you do this without speaking to the customer? Especially when Jordan just informed me on the phone there was no way to track, or receive an update on the drop shipment juat 3.5 hours before? Danny did try to call but I had a missed call from a restricted number. I do not answer...
