American Lake Veterans Golf Course — Local services in Lakewood

Very rude guy at the front desk. I've been golfing there for over a year now. My sponsor just checked in 5 minutes prior to me , so as I went to check in and guy in green behind the counter was very short and said " Get your sponsor to check you in or you could go" (meaning you can leave) I mentioned I've been playing here with my sponsor for over a year. " He said I can get you barred from here. I can pull the book out if needed very rude. I get the rules , just treat people with dignity and respect man. Whatever frustrations your having in your own life, remember we are all people. Treat others as you want to be treated. I gave him a pass this time but next time if your rude like this , sounds like we'll have words man to man. Overall course great! I usually don’t post google reviews, but the customer service at this course was so frustrating that I wanted to share. I was first told to show my drivers license to the Course Marshall while I was loading my golf clubs. I thought it was rather ridiculous because I’m 21 and he kept insisting that I seemed to be young for my age. Secondly the pace of play was horrible it took an hour and a half to play 3 holes. The Course Marshall is there to ensure that the pace of play is on time. If you are a golf fanatic and attempting to play local courses, I suggest passing this course. I've been coming here over a decade & I am amazed of the beautiful people, golf course conditions & price. Absolutely hands down a perfect track for all levels. My thanks goes out to all the volunteers. Also Jack Nicholas designed the back nine and refurbished the front so that says a lot. Thank you American Lake, you saved my life...
