Unbelievable beautiful poinsettias with the most unbelievably confusing and complicated set of instructions I've ever seen. Five stars for the quality of your plants but three star for the instructions.
Please put a period at the end of the sentence that states: Poinsettias are NOT poisonous to childern or pets (PERIOD) a question mark put's doubt in people's minds and creates a ton of confusion here. You then go on to state a fact so please say FACT: cats need to eat 50lbs and dogs need to eat 100lbs of leaves for it to be toxic. This was a very useful fact.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: please state that these are now "care instructions" a) Keep your poinsettia near natural or artificial light b) Ideal temp is 60-70 degrees (which means most likely indirect light as we're in Illinois) c) Keep away from warm or cold drafts d) WATER WEEKLY
you have some confusing instructions to CHECK water weight? What the heck does that mean? do I weight the plant and then weight it after i've watered it? No one is going to lift the plant and gauge how heavy it is based on the water weight. Please this is just a confusing thing to write. then you have some Inches with ounces...I'm assuming you mean for a 4.5" (in height of plant from soil to the highest point of the plant) = (water about) 6oz (of water per week).
e) Fertilization or feeding the plant? (nothing? just water it?)
Again amazing...
Read moreWhat a wonderful boutique nursery! Normally not in the area, but as soon as I passed by I knew I had to stop in. If you’re familiar with the big box plants, you’ll notice here how healthy & vibrant these varieties are! They had many choices on petunias that I dont usually come across. The creeping Jenny I add to my pots is thick and gorgeous. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob who is so passionate about his work and eager to help! Lots of helpful, smiling faces here. Prices were very reasonable as well, and I felt good buying from them. Will definitely be coming...
Read moreThis place is great! Bob Kolze, the owner, is very knowledgeable and helpful. The flower combinations he creates are just beautiful! I've gotten my pole green beans here last year when I lived in Chicago & they did so well I came back for more. I also tried a mosquito plant this year, new for them, so here's to hoping it keeps the lil buggers away : D Highly recommend this place! A lil pricier for baskets & larger flower combinations but overall the selection blows the big box...
