My wife had been on a list for a specific collector gun for almost a year with Millers. They finally called her today to say they had one, she answered the phone and didnāt have good connection because she was working so she immediately texted me to call them back. They guy on the phone did hear her, they exchanged a few words before the call went fuzzy, so it wasnāt like nobody was there when they called. I called them back within 3 minutes of them calling her. In that time they had already called and sold the gun to someone else in a total of under 5 minutes. They gave her no chance to call them back whatsoever. After being on a list for so long you would think you would have an hour or so to call them back, not 30 seconds.
Took my crossbow in for a minor repair, without me asking or wanting it done, they removed my strings. At the time I thought nothing of it, went back in before archery season to get them put back on thinking it would be at no cost. Nope, $20 to put strings back on that I didnāt want taken off in the first place.
Another instance I was there with my brother in law, and he was looking to buy a shotgun. He found one he liked on the shelf, with a zip tied price tag on the gun. At check out they told him that was not the right price and they charged him a hundred or more dollars for the gun because they put the wrong price on it. Thereās been more occasions that we have brushed off our shoulder but these two were the deal breakers. Hope they are proud of the way they are doing business, because we will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest Gunsmith in the region....period. I have a modest collection of firearms that most are sentimental to me. Mr. Miller who ownes the place; does most of the gunsmithing there. He is a true craftsman in the old fashioned sense. Up through mid 60's most American gunmakers were producing incredible labor intensive firearms. For example the Whinchester 94, and Model 70, or Colts pistols like the venerable Python, and the M&P. No knock on modern cnc varieties, many are good, accurate, and somewhat affordable; just not worth improvements or repairs in most cases. When a stock needs refinished, a barrel reblued, and trigger worked, I only take it to Millers, which is a three hour drive for me. I'm a collector, and a hunter, so I think long and hard about each of piece I own, and I'm not afraid of making improvements and repairs. But, I don't trust "gunsmiths" who's main practice is bolting on parts to AR and AK platforms for mall commandoes. I'm dreading the day when I can't drop off something there for work because Mr....

Went in to get my Yugo SKS bolt modified & he never heard of such a thing(which I told him its ALL on YouTube on how to do it & its so the bolt can be CLOSED while loading a full magazine) he looked baffled. Then I ask if he could use a punch tool to knock out the retaining pin for the firing pin so I could clean it to ever prevent a slam fire. He "tried" but said it wouldn't come out.. He has the tools to do everything I asked. But I walked out with nothing accomplished.. Smdfh. They need to get updated with the times.. Everything looks super out dated, even the firearms I looked at. They was friendly. Or at least they acted that way. He needs to get on the internet & update his knowledge of ALL firearms. Or at least keep Google open so he can use it as a guideĀÆ(ć)/ĀÆ Gotta love...
