Red Oak Fuel Center — Local services in Lamar

I swear I almost got kidnapped / diddled here, I got off the highway on my way back home from college really needing to go the bathroom. So I walking in trying to find it. I walk to the back of the store trying to use the men's restroom. It was occupied but the women's was open. For reference the restrooms were single use one person and no one was in line. A kind gentlemen at the slot machines by the door said that it was fine for me to go in the women's so I went in just needing to go real fast. I got in there locking the door behind me. I was about to start using the restroom with my pants down when I hear something that made me freeze. I heard in the faintest whisper but very clear "I SEE YOU" I was so scared and immediately left. I was not going to find out who or what made that sound. Idk if it was someone playing a prank or if it was some creep. Just wanted to warn yall, scared the living day...

The inside is nice and clean, there is a large selection of snacks, vapes, a couple of slot machines, etc. and there is even a hot food station though I didn't see what they served because I was stopped by a clerk or the owner who inquired if I was taking video. After I explained to him what I was doing he asked me where I was from and moved on without further incident.

The bathrooms were a little dirty though at this point in time; at least they had them and that's really what counts because after COVID everybody just kept their bathrooms closed because they don't want to clean them and they realized during COVID that they could get away with it somehow.

Other stores often get around the "must have bathrooms if you serve hot food" rule by just claiming they're "out of order" when in reality they just don't want to...

The woman's bathroom was disgusting and the toilet wouldn't flush. There was a shady door that was locked in the bathroom. The store was cluttered and gross, and there were gambling machines where the people in the nearby trailer park were coming to use the machines. They were cussing and it was an overall horrible experience for my family. DONT bring a family bc you have no idea what you are gonna hear. If I could rate 0...
