I really, really hate ever giving bad reviews. Tried to email the owner so I could just discuss my issue with them. I’m not sure it kicked back or just no answer. We stayed here when it first opened and it was such a clean and pleasurable experience. We play the Lampasas tournament and usually try to stay across the street from the golf course. Since it was full this time we decided to stay here. Was so very disappointed! It was not so clean and all the rules it has listed seem not to apply to all of the long term guests. My real complaint is the fact that our dog couldn’t walk at all without getting stickers!! Our whole site was full of them. Totally a turn off! And painful for our dog. But what was even most disgusting thing ever! was every time I got in and out of my passenger side a dog craps right there!!! We pick our dog crap up and he’s small! These were BIG piles and guess what?….The worst!!!! I stepped in it with my golf shoes twice!!! This is unacceptable!!! So, again, I am sorry to have to write this because everyone that worked there was so pleasant but that just can’t make up...
Read moreThe rv campground seems nice and is well kept but there are a couple issues that make the stay a little uncomfortable for us. First off the entrance and exit are the same road and are quite narrow compared to the dozen or more campgrounds we have stayed at across several states.
The second and biggest gripe is the lack of internet service. They have 4 channels and every channel says connected to wifi no internet access. This makes it very hard to take care of matters whether paying bills, planning for up coming events or keeping in touch with friends and family. We had a few issues with our trailer that a simple internet search would have fixed, but there is no internet.
The ladies filling in for the owners are quite nice and accommodating but are limited in helping with the internet issue. A simple reset might fix this.
If you can live with little to no internet off your cell phone this is a nice place to stay and is very quiet at night. It's well lit up at night and easily seen from the road which is a plus when coming back from...
Read moreWe stayed in a cabin. There are 3 cabins connected like a motel and 1 cabin by itself closer to river. The cabin is an older building remodeled. Has a bedroom with a queen bed and an ensuite full bathroom, queen fold out couch, a small table with 2 chairs, a mini fridge, microwave, sink, flat screen tv, wifi, basic necessities- linens, towels, hairdryer, little soaps, shampoos, utensils, plates, cups. Was small but clean. No cooktop or oven. It does have a cafe on site open from 8-2. Coffee, burgers, sandwiches, smoothies- not fresh. All from frozen. It is right on the river. A short walk down step steps. River is murky and mossy. clean and clear like Texas spring rivers. Did not enjoy walking down it and not really flowing to tube, not many fish for fishing and not really dep enough to swim. The RV park is smaller, was not busy on a holiday weekend and has a firepit with wood for you to use. There is a sulphur fresh water spring in Lampassas to swim in and some restaurants. There is a safari park in Coperas Cove and also some...
