Beware.. I have stayed before at the Wind River and didn't know about this casino, this Shoshone Rose. So I thought well that one was so nice I would give this one a chance. Let me say it's probably the worst mistake I've made in the last … More

Feels like a chain 🍕 pizza place, and was really good. Wood oven, thin crust style. Kids loved it, and cooked great, very tasty. … More

We enjoyed it. The was good. The crust's flavor and texture were great from the way it was cooked. The toppings seemed to be of decent quality. The dining room was nothing special. … More

I was not expecting the pizza to be so good, only because thin pizza is not my first choice. But this pizza was DELICIOUS!!!! The salad we got was loaded with so much goodness! It had sunflowers, tomatoes, bellpepers, loads of cheese, … More

Beware.. I have stayed before at the Wind River and didn't know about this casino, this Shoshone Rose. So I thought well that one was so nice I would give this one a chance. Let me say it's probably the worst mistake I've made in the last 10 years. The machines are very old and the rooms are older. Run clear and go to Wind River but before you do run into town and eat at Cowfish LOL best meal I've had for years do not eat...
Read moreThe Shoshone Rose Hotel was wonderful and deserves a five star rating because it provides the user with: 1- a very spacious sleeping/sitting room - 16" x 13' (see the attached photo); 2- a 9' floor to ceiling height; 3- a bathroom that is fully ADA compliant and over 5' wide with two niches for bath and sink areas (see the attached photo) with tile on tub walls and the bathroom floor. It also has a large mirror with side lights and a lighted magnifying mirror; 4- a long counter for the tv, hot drinks, a small microwave and refrigerator, my computer, and lots of outlets (see the attached photo); 5- solid core doors that are all 3' x 7' and keep most hotel noise from entering the room; 6- lots of conveniently located outlets for electronics; 7- 6' x 5' window that allows for a great amount of natural light when uncovered, a see-through shade screen, as well as an opaque screen to make and keep the room dark (see the attached photo) when sleeping; 8- a nightstand - that easily accommodates bipap and cpap machines - on either side of the bed; 9- fire alarms and concealed sprinklers for safety; 10- security guards througout the complex; and 11- lots of parking in a guard patrolled lot.
The quality of the design and construction is very good and the hotel is located about five minutes from the heart of downtown Lander. Although there is no complimentary breakfast, the hotel provides a $10 voucher for their in-house cafeteria and for any part of the meal not covered by the $10 voucher, the cost is inexpensive for the amount of food offered. The cost for the Shoshone Rose room is dramatically less than what I've found well known equivalent brand hotel rooms - for leisure travellers - to be.
When I'm in Lander again, the Shoshone Rose Hotel is where...
Read more8/30 - 9/1 Check-in and out was a struggle. Person who "checked us in, didn't complete the process. When it was time to check out, manager asked if she could email receipt. Hotel Assistant Manager Andreanna expedited this process and asked if I had left my sunglasses case, which I did. This was very nice of Andreanna to ask. Thank you so much. Check -in: staff informed us to stop by in the mornings to pick up the $10 off coupon for the restaurant per room per morning.
Location is outside of Lander a few miles.
Establishment is pet friendly and charges $20/night. We felt this was very reasonable. Large grounds to walk your fur baby. Please be kind and pick up after your pets.
Rooms are adequate and comfortable but dated. Luckily, we brought usb and usbc ports with us to charge electronics. We liked there is a glass wall between sink and toilet. The shower is a walk-in and the water pressure was fantastic.
Casino area is very clean, has a bar area (alcohol cannot be taken beyond the bar area), snack bar, and a fountain drink area for water, and Pepsi products.
Restaurant is small and prices are very reasonable with or without the breakfast coupon. We recommend trying the Fry Bread! They serve with honey. -Saturday morning, breakfast and staff was perfect. Dinner, again prices are very reasonable. We stopped in and had their salad and soup bars. Limited options for salad, but all items were fresh. Soups for our visit was chicken and dumplings and stuffed bell pepper. Both soups were excellent. For $10/person, you can't beat it. -Sunday morning staff; we have to believe our server was new. It was a struggle and the chef? Well...hashbrowns were cold, mushy, and where is...
