This was one of the things I really wanted to do when planning our first trip to New Orleans! It was easy to get on the website and purchase our tickets. It is slightly cheaper to drive yourself to the location if you can. They say to arrive 30 minutes early. There are multiple locations, so we went an hour ahead to make sure of where we were going. The lady directed us 15 minutes away, so give yourself time to make sure you are in the right spot before departure time. We picked the cheaper covered boat tour. My husband wanted the more expensive and faster airboat option at first, but ended up being satisfied with my choice! It rained the first couple of minutes we were out on the water, but we were nice and dry. There is plenty of seating, and you can move around the craft. It was a leisure ride with a very knowledgeable tour guide. We got what we came...
Read moreWe were referred by âairboat tour by Arthurâ because they were unable to provide their services at the time. We were not disappointed. We did the small airboat tour and our guide was great. It was much warmer when we went than it had been all week (mid/low 60s) so we got to see an alligator!! We were super lucky to see the gator. On one hand I would say if you want to see a lot of gator action then donât do any airboat in the cooler temps (dec/Jan) because duh they wonât be out. However I would encourage everyone to do an airboat tour at some point because it was fun. We got a lot of good information about the animals, water, trees, etc. I think the small boat was worth it and appeared to be able to fit in smaller places than a big boat would have been able to but my boyfriend says he would have just done the big...

It was hot and humid day. They had restroom facilities at the launch site that had AC and were very clean. They had a covered outdoor waiting area. In addition, they had the welcome ticking building with a few food and beverage items. There was plenty of parking.
On to the air boat ride. That was amazing. It was cool once you got going. The weather was beautiful. When he stopped it heated up quickly. The best part was seeing the wildlife. The gators were the best (Hector, Greedy, and many more). You will get up close and personal with the gators. I would highly recommend taking...
