Let my begin by thanking the one guy who left a negative review...his "negatives" sounded WONDERFUL to me...precisely what I was looking for!
Concrete statuary, sitting outdoors, dusty and mildewy (it's actually aged...some green on some of the pieces...but I knew what you were talking about).
Concrete is a dusty business. The outdoors, likewise. Nothing a quick hose-off when you get your pieces home won't fix.
You will likely find a "clean" un-aged version of the statue you want, or an older aged version of the same style...for near all the styles they have. You pick what you want.
Anyhow - enough about Mr. Grumpy pants...
This is a concrete statuary Mecca.
Fowler's has a MASSIVE selection, and it changes regularly (from what I'm told)...there is always more to see and come back for.
Seriously, look at the google maps street view of this place! Yeah, it's accurate...it is huge, and PACKED with statuary...at all sizes, styles, and price points!
What's that you say?? They did not have what you were looking for!!?? Then you probably didn't need it...you will probably find something you like better here!
I have bought concrete statuary from other, smaller, concrete statuary places. The selection is BAR NONE...literally, easily 200 times larger selection than other concrete statuary businesses in Michigan. Fowler's prices are better, and the quality is WAY BETTER.
Case in point:
Fowler's has the exact toad statue I bought from another place (on the west side of the state). Fowler's toad was nearly FLAWLESS - compared to mine, that has a bunch of tiny air pocket voids all over it. FOWLER'S PRICE WAS $10 LESS!!!
Everything is outdoors...on a beautiful, sprawling wooded lot. You appreciate the shade it affords on a hot, sunny summer day. Perfect shade to take your time, stroll around, and TRY to see everything...I think it's impossible to truly see it all in one day/visit.
The workers were great folks, and very helpful.
I appreciated the well-maintained gravel drives and walkways, the well-manicured grounds. It made for a pleasant walk about the property.
I do not want my statues painted, I prefer to bring them home, hose them down, then "paint on" a clear coat concrete/masonry sealant...a few coats of that will enhance the beauty and longevity of all the well-made, beautiful pieces from Fowler's.
I purchased SEVEN pieces here today...two of them large ones...all for our dear mother's memorial garden. I will be back..I have my eye on a number of other pieces I will be buying.
Love love love this place. So pleased I found it! So happy it's not too far a drive...but this place is worth travelling to see.
They take credit and debit, so that is convenient and appreciated.
Find a spot near your parked car, and make a pile of the stuff you want to buy. If it's heavy just go inside and ask for help when you're ready to cash out and load it into your car. I'm telling you this because I was overwhelmed...I wanted so many things, there were no available carts...and I didn't know what to do. I had a logistical, deer-in-headlights moment, "So much I want to buy, HOW DO I GET IT ALL!??" I was afraid I would forget what I wanted or where it was.
Everyone in the family will find multiple things they love...
Read moreMy dad and I drove to get these two statues all the way in Michigan from Canton, Ohio. Stanley as we call him was in the family at my grandma's in Indiana for 50 years till he died/cracked two years ago. All through my childhood we saw him and I can remember just being barely taller than him as a kid. My grandma calls him Stanley after Mr Ropper on threes company Stanley Ropper. So I went on the internet and found this Stanley statue via Google images and there was another person buying Stanley or Otis as he called him in Michigan from South Carolina that had theirs stolen after 35 years. Cool memories so my dad and I each bought one and drove it back to Ohio. Who knew the statue was in such demand.
This shop responded to my email request and painted him to match the family one. It's cool how these figures have such personal meaning. The fact that he is smoking with a bottle of booze makes it even more awesome.
The shop did great matching him and their paint looked even better.
Love it, great customer service. We bought two of them. One for my dad...

Gave them a few photos of our boy and Patty did a amazing job with the painting of his likeness. Great prices and the turn around time for the custom painting was so quick. Walking thru they have a great selection of pre-painted statues and the selection of statues is crazy. Everything with this was perfect for us, thanks Patty and Martha for all your help!
