Well, I must say that this place is a little short of amazing. Nestled here in Pennsylvania hills, they have over 17 varieties of locally grown apples. I had no idea you could get that many. Katie the manager, knows every variety and can tell you about the tartness, sweetness, and firmness of every single variety. She also informed me that right now was what we call the early crop and in the end of the summer it's the full crop where things are even more flavorful. She was willing to work out a purchase for me where I sampled seven different kinds of apples that I had never tasted before. It was amazing- the supply is good, the customer service was better than stupendous. They also have really cool hats and shirts in case you want to support them even a little bit more, which I highly recommend. Definitely three thumbs up, and I've never given three thumbs up before. They also have honey, cookies, cakes and a wide other amount of little sundries throughout the store. Open apparently 7 days a week so there are plenty of opportunity to get in there and find really delicious stuff. I stopped again very recently, and found that although the apples are not in season they had plenty of peaches and the tomatoes or simply outstanding the red tomatoes looked plump and firm and the orange tomatoes looked better than I think any I've seen. Or plenty of other vegetables offered as well. This place...
Read moreIf you want reliably good product, this is the place to go. The variety of product is wide and the quality is consistently good I find it makes sense to spend a little extra if I am confident that the flavor will be there. I like to purchase for friends as well. We ate fantastic corn, peaches, squash, watermelon and apples this summer. But they have so much more... pears, plums, broccoli, peppers, cucumbers, etc. It was a good summer for peaches and I sure ate my fill. The early red havens were my favorite. I froze some and made smoothies and lots of juices with yummy peace included. Don't hesitate to stop at Peters Orchard for in...
Read moreMy grandmother and cousin had been coming to Peter's Orchard for years. This year was a first time for me since I was a wee little lass. I LOVE the stand/market! It's very homey and old fashioned (in my mother and my opinion). Great selection, beautiful fruit and products! Peter's Orchards is by far the best place around. I'm not big on the commercial-like products other places have. Peter's feels more family oriented. There is also a little section for small kids to play at and a pond beside it that we walked around. Love, love, love this place and will...
