Dollar General — Local services in Laurens

I always loved going into this Dollar Store. Always friendly people working and will help you if you can’t find something. A family friend said she had went to buy stuff that was in the 90% off bin. She said the girl got really rude to her and rolling her eyes when she asked if the item was 90% off. It was a new girl who I’ve never seen working there. I went in there later on and she was talking to a customer while checking them out saying how rude the customer was and that she had to put her in her place. Then was rude to an employee when he was trying to open another register and couldn’t(it wouldn’t let him type his number). And also a guy walked in and asked where something was, she said “i don’t know”, he said “so I guess I’m on my own then” she said “yep, guess so”. I’ve worked in retail for years, and was even a manager at age 17. With me saying that, I don’t agree that a worker should EVER downgrade another worker, and NEVER should talk about a customer(s) to other customers. There’s a time and place for that if you feel the need to do so, but while working shouldn’t be it. I’m never one to write bad reviews, but I feel like someone should let her know how she should act while on the clock - helpful, polite, nice, etc etc etc. Sometimes you never know what a simple smile can do to...

Its handy close to home have ok prices in marked down stuff day to day stuff. Employees could be friendlier and little more helpful. Dollar general in gray court is an unorganized disaster. Dollar general gouges prices on stuff like memory cards. 15 bucks for a phone memory card same card at walmart 6 bucks. Every store everywhere has gotten more expensive, but it seems more noticable at the Dollar General. They are advertising that they are providing healthier choices of food in their stores, you can buy blueberries and other fruit that you couldn't before. After you pay almost ten dollars for bread and milk though, those blueberries...
