Our round was supposed to start at 11. We had to wait to tee off for almost 20 minutes as there were 3 groups ahead of us at the first tee. The worst thing is that the carts have gps that regulates where you can go on the course to keep people off the tee boxes and greens and out of the woods, but our cart must not have been calibrated properly because we would be on the cart path and it would disable itself so we could not move forward. Then we would have to back up (because it would only go in reverse) until it would work again then we would have to move the cart over a few feet on the path and try to go forward again. The Marshall came up behind us and we told him what was happening and he told us we had to hurry up. We got behind because our cart would not work! Worst experience I have ever had at a state park course. I think if I am paying to play a round of golf, I should not be made to feel like I am in the wrong for their cart...

The practice putting green rolls so nicely and is representative of the greens, whereas a lot of practice are totally a different speed than those on the course.
There are a ton of elevation changes that make a 100 yard shot, play really more like a 125.
It's got beautiful vistas, both open and blind shots, tough rough, great greens, and great people working there.
It's my favorite range in the area and second favorite GA parks course.
If you get a chance to play it, give it a shot, you'll be getting your focus...
Read moreTo begin with, when we called to make a tee time the club pro was rude over the phone. Secondly, if you are planning on using youth on the course, it’s not worth it. There was a $3 difference between the normal price and the youth on the course price ($39 and $36). Lastly, the greens and fairways where in terrible condition. The greens where thick and had many ridges that would not allow you to be able to putt the ball or read the green in any manner. There where many tee boxes where the tee markers where not placed, but they where stacked outside...
